    best way is to setup opensource webhosting controlpanel and gift friends with few accounts :smile: they will become happy also custom domain emails. (using external smtp)

    Tips: Install Alpine Os on low ram VPS and you will see the big differences in memory and storage use. :D

    My biggest VPS is 16GB RAM and it's idling. How about you guys

    I’m trying to come up with some kind of distributed app for personal use… haven’t been successful

    I’ll consider doing that! Most of my friends aren’t into dev/hosting though.

    hmm Anyone can use Ubuntu Pro for free on up to 5 machines, or 50 if you are an official Ubuntu Community member.
