Great question @hiddenpuzzle -- naturally, our products historically have continued to sell out in multiple regions. We've found ourselves struggling with replenishing inventory, but we've managed to do so, just not as fast as people would hope for. So the countdown not only increases urgency, but also lets users know that inventory does fluctuate, and our cart's are updated in real time, so some locations may appear, may not appear, may re-appear, etc.
Every year, for our Black Friday, we do our best to be creative and implement new ways of giving back. For example, with this year's Mystery Box that we're introducing for the first time ever, we hope to integrate this with more of our future planned events. Our Black Friday page is a theme designed around the idea of a Mystery Box.
