I don't think they do it on purpose to look like sharks. From diving with them they also stick their fin tips up when they coast even when swimming deeper. So I expect it is just because they are swimming close to the surface it looks that way.
I love to see Racknerd in Asia. I only use US VPS for storage, webserver is hosted in SG or HK for latency.
