Good PHP+MySQL Benchmark for Shared Hosting
Hello!
I'm trying to find a good way to benchmark PHP+MySQL performance across various shared providers for comparison sake. I used to have a script I would use for this but apparently in my old age I've forgotten what it was called / how to find it...
Anybody have any suggestions / recommendations?
I am familiar with this for PHP only -> https://github.com/rusoft/php-simple-benchmark-script
But I need something that will benchmark MySQL performance as well [preferably a PHP script that does the testing].

install wordpress and try this plugin:

Yeah they both work decently and I can automate it all with wp-cli, was just trying to avoid installing wordpress and such just for a test.
I think I'll write my own test I guess just not sure how soon so this will work until then.
I use https://loader.io/ to load test my site.
Have you ever tried this php script?. Hope it helps.

I don't see any reason I wouldn't. The goal is to be able to make informed decisions about performance [roughly] - usage is a bit more nuanced but benchmarks give you a good overall indication.
@MikeDVB ... the CherryVM thing, can it be expected to be as solid as the MDDhosting that I used at some point 8 or 9 years ago? Do you still own that other company?

The Denver offering is actually hosted out of MDD. Future locations will be out of other service providers.
As with anything I do - we will do our best to make it as solid and reliable as possible.

I haven't streamed on Twitch lately but am actually looking at getting that started back up here soon. Not sure when exactly - still trying to work out a time that I can reliably be online for streaming
