ordered and the IP provided was blacklisted in spamhaus and ucel3. sent a PM and a ticket. please replace with a clean IP.
They use colocrossing, you won't find any clean ip. Just use third-party smtp relay.
so all of them are blacklisted? if so then im gonna ask for refund. thanks
You can request to migrate your vm to los Angeles. They're in MultaCom on that location.
Hello, I would like to double the bandwidth.
Order Number: 8011948153
Invoice ID: #4550851
Thanks!
@jcolideles -- In all fairness, contrary to popular belief, ColoCrossing blocks SMTP/mailing ports by default - unless otherwise negotiated with them. As a result of this, their IP reputation has improved dramatically, generally speaking. And when SMTP ports are enabled, they still monitor to ensure email marketing activities (bulk mail) is not being ran on the network. Of course not saying it'll be 100% perfect, especially considering the fact there are over 700,000 IPs announced on the ColoCrossing network (and generally service providers and end-users are involved) - but based on our experience, they definitely do put in the effort in terms of maintaining a clean network.
I do understand they have a unique past history, so I can understand how that may stick with people, but just speaking from recent experience here.
Hi @securer -- Good question. It's important to note that not every single IP under an entire ASN is going to see impacting listings that you're inquiring about, especially a large network. For example ColoCrossing (just one of our upstreams) has over 760,000 IPv4 addresses associated to their ASN.
Keep in mind, every listing is treated differently. So it's best to check your IP, and see what blacklist it may be on, and how it actually affects you. With regards to UCEProtect, that's a whole other discussion - a quick search of "UCEProtect" on this very forum will tell you everything you need to know about how this organization operates. The good news is that almost no major email provider uses/acknowledges UCEProtect anymore, so you most likely won't experience any negative effects in a real world case. Sucuri (which is a GoDaddy company) recently wrote a blog post sharing their frustration regarding UCEPROTECT as well - which is a good read: https://blog.sucuri.net/2021/02/uceprotect-when-rbls-go-bad.html
