I don't think the posts with just a pic counts as "commenting" (unless the pic contains the comment). So feel free to disqualify others and award prize to me.
How is this possible in the Valley? I would imagine they need competent people who get paid competitively and the target area can afford higher prices... Also, isn't there a monopoly in many places so competition isn't really a thing? Or that's just places like Washington?
No offers on page 99. Fail.
I really don't know, but I'm happy it exists. I know there's small towns across the US with 10Gbps municipal fiber (or fiber via small companies) around the same price points, but being able to get it in a major metro area is great. Sonic are also pro net neutrality. Their old plans were resold 1Gbps AT&T fiber. At some point, AT&T announced they'd block certain sites (can't remember what they were), and Sonic provided a free VPN to all customers to bypass whatever blocks AT&T would put in place.
Depends on the area.
Some apartments only have Comcast, as the company that owns the apartments has some sort of exclusivity deal with Comcast. At the apartment building I lived at, Comcast would host parties with free food to try and convince people to sign up for more Comcast services ("already have internet? we can add cable TV too!").
Many single family homes in the peninsula have both Comcast and AT&T fiber available. Some only have Comcast and 4Mbps AT&T DSL (which isn't a real choice). I know some people at work that can only get Comcast and are paying $300/month for their fastest plan (6Gbps symmetric).
Sonic are mostly rolling out in areas where utility lines are overhead rather than underground, the company that owns the poles is happy to allow them to run their cables, and they can get a permit from the city. Some cities are nicer about it than others.
A sign they have too much margin.
So we are 33% there to get $999 giveaway.
Not going to happen.
Now I'm questioning if we will even get to 150 pages
don't question... just move.
