    New updates:
    - HK/SG all sold out.
    - 9999 EPYC plans were live and sold out in minutes. The next restock will be ~ 1 hour from now.

Some of the 9999 plans in the US will be restocked 1-2 more times today, tomorrow we will have other plans but not as much resources as the 9999 plans.

Is it possible to install windows by myself with my own license on 9999 plan?

It is not allowed to install Windows on our KVM VPS plans due to SPLA Agreement and performance issues.

But will you actively go through customers instances to find if someone is using their own Windows license or is it just soft "we don't allow/support it"?

We dont allow/support it, VPS might be suspended/terminated if doing so. Due to SPLA agreements with Microsoft, we need to report to them each month if every customer installed Windows with custom license. In addition, running both Windows & Linux on the same node will cause performance issues, it would be better to order our Windows VPS running on Hyper-V for better performance and they are already licensed.

But there are still a lot of providers which do allow windows with custom licenses on kvm nodes without performance or SPLA issues. As it’s full virtualization it should not have performance issues with specific OS. I don’t know how other providers deal with that SPLA rules but if you actually need to report to Microsoft then just go ahead, it’s still not a issue, right?

@ralf that GB5 is nowhere close to SG machines. Weird.

Just everybody is benchmarking right now so scores are very random. It will get very similar next week:)

Here's the 9999 for HKG, I picked it up about 5 hours ago, so this YABS is probably more representative:

This multiscore is sooner exceptional (i too got 3xxx for 9999 elsewhere) so imo sooner you got lucky one (locations / node where it is +5xxx)

They are not doing it right, we need to comply with the SPLA so unfortunately we do not allow that now on KVM VPS.

Btw, is this 9999 (E5-v4 version) 9G Ram, 9 shared cores better than last BF deal? CPU Intel Gold 6132, Ram 6GB NVMe?

more ram, more core so it's better.

But not NVMe, CPU is older, memory will be likely also slower.

Its not that easy to tell.
I would say theyre comparable, both have some pros

I prefer less, but more powerful cores. 9vCPU scaling is not that great in most cases and many things cannot use more than single vCPU.

You have less RAM, but if something is not in RAM then it will be read a lot faster from NVMe array than normal SSD SATA array.

I agree. Last BF deal I did not use at most resouces but I cannot leave the deal too hot like this. So I purchased one 9999 and still thinking which plan should I transfer out of account.
