The bots are already scraping non-stop and it makes no difference at all, announcing a time would make humans have a greater chance because humans aren't paying attention to their screen all the time.

But this takes much more effort for them to add it in. I don't know how much scalpers are making, but if it's significant then it's probably only a few minutes work to solve the captchas tbh.

If fixed time is announced, 1000 people will line up vs at some random time, only 100 line up. At least at some random time, your chance and mine are higher :P
