    Addon domains are an awful feature that security-wise should have been laughed at internally before being introduced.

    It’s basically reseller hosting, but without account separation.

    Why is this normalized?

    Looks pretty obvious to me why this is being used. They are clearly advertising you can have only X extra domains hosted at your account + the primary one.
