you missed #not clickbait in your title... :(

  • I had one of their VPS with a DA license for two years, the first year of which was free thanks to Mark. I cancelled it a while back as I didn't have much use for it when its renewal was due.

It was a pretty good service, never had any major issues, and the one ticket I did open was responded to in a couple of hours. I don't recall downtime ever being an issue aside from a few minutes out of the year, which I assume was just maintenance. I'd happily go with them again in the future, although I don't think they included the free DA licenses anymore.

My vm always got random down in many time for a few minutes (arround 1 - 10 minutes) this is occured everyday since first buying ( a month a go )

    Anyone have same issue ??

    Or just me

Example for today in hetrixtool report:

    27 Sep 15:12 27 Sep 15:14 2min Errors
    27 Sep 10:31 27 Sep 10:33 2min Errors
    27 Sep 10:24 27 Sep 10:25 1min Errors
    27 Sep 08:12 27 Sep 08:14 2min Errors
    27 Sep 00:06 27 Sep 00:12 6min Errors

I think this is far less than 99.99% uptime SLA in their state as my vm just got 98.5% since then

  • Hi. I need a more powerful VPS. What can you offer please? Can you help me? Double RAM, CPU, cores and much more bandwidth?
    Thanks

I also have the same issue. Hasn't really affected me yet so haven't made a ticket about it. Interesting to know it isn't just me.

Already open ticket for it but no solution for that, he even said didn't trust monitoring result and did not admit and on their side was okay without really check what is the real problem

Can you provide location fail log and traceroute / mtr log so this can be proof the wrong are on their side, not just me

    Ok i'll do it

Funny that you just made it instant solution without investigate and check problem first and find a solution, you should be concern and check your upstream or ISP, now i know who i deal with

Sure machine itself is okay and nothing wrong, but connection issue is the problem here as it always drop sometimes , this is bothering me, and sure that is not normal thing, Above is proof that it is not only just me have this issue

  • @LittleCreek said: No problem.

How's that not a problem unless it isn't true?

    Sure,

These are from the 10 min downtime on 22 Sep:

    Hetrix Tools Frankfort 4 MTR

    Hetrix Tools Dallas 1 MTR

    Network fail log

  • My one cent:

If you are using HetrixTools to monitor, change the settings at their control panel to ping your server every >=5 minutes. Their default value is 1 minute, and sometimes the firewall can block HetrixTools if it is pinging so frequently. Once as soon as I got a notification from HetrixTools, I checked my website and server and found that nothing is down. I had a similar issue with RackNerd, thanks to @dustinc, who suggested this solution. Now my RackNerd server is always up.

First thing i check my app that running is got cut and disconnected (outgoing connection), i know because i always self monitoring it without hetrix

Second, when downtime happen, i can't access ssh too, like i said ipv4 is drop like between 1 - 10 minutes and then back online few minutes later

So it is not relevant to blame hetrix for false alarm

Proof that When downtime happened incoming and outgoing connection got loss in some minutes

Very fair assessment, I'm going to try this and report back.

Like I said earlier, this hasn't caused me any issues or anything so hasn't been a big issue.

The network at LittleCreek is phenomenal and has great connectivity for me and my users, so I'm very happy with my purchase.

Are you running program or software that need 24x7 connection to keep?

If not maybe you are not aware about loss connection in few minutes

But i do, thats why this is bothering me and i am sure that is not false alarm

Yes the connection speed itself is great, it is perfect for private vpn that just use in some hours

But for some use case few minutes downtime regularly is really matter if you need keep alive connection
