Hetzner auction 160TB Intel Xeon W-2145 for less than a $1/TB
This is the reason why Hetzner if TOP provider:
Intel Xeon W-2145 128GB
160TB hdd + 2T ssd
wow @Hetzner_OL

pull 160TB in one month and see if your account don't get suspended.
250TB/mo seems to be their max acceptable usage according to another thread.
For storage servers they might offer better limits than the cheap AX ones:

@luckypenguin what are the cheap AX ones?
Is there anyone still uses AX10/AX20/AX30?
You forgot about redundancy. With RAID10 less then half will be usable. π
Unless you like to live dangerously.
Lol itβs still the same amount of storage. Redundancy is a choice.
Thoughts on Intel Xeon W-2145 vs AMD Ryzen 7 3700X?
according to gb5 both with 9k for 8c/16t
3700x is newer with lower TDP, desktop cpu vs intel's server grade
according to passmark, amd has higher score for encryption test (19k vs 6k)
please note that there are a few Xeon E5-1650V3 with 256 ram and 15 x 10 TB Enterprise HDD with hardware raid at lower price (~110e) right now
gb5 around 5k, but twice as much ram
I have two of these Hetzner machines - E5 1650V3, but 128 + 10x10. GB5 around 6k here
