You should try using traceroute, and you'll see that the IP addresses are hosted there.
We are a Romanian company, and until all geolocation APIs are updated, it's normal to be shown in Romania on some geolocation websites, mostly on websites that are using old databases. We have contacted Maxmind, Google, Ip2location, and all other important players that have something to say about IP Geolocation. They will be updated everywhere in a couple of days.

It's sad you use M247, it's known to be bad and has high latency for 5days now.
This is from Alwyzon (NL, serverius basically) but it also happens with Telenet (a big Belgian ISP) and Proximus (the biggest Belgian ISP) and also with worldstream (NL), and some other hosts.
Edit: M247 Belgium is what is displayed on the smokeping

I mailed them about it 5days ago, they didn't reply or fix, so guess I'll post it here so anyone wanting to use this for something knows at least, or maybe virtono can escalate it to M247.
This issue happened before and also Orange (Big Belgian ISP) had issues.
So basically, you have 100ms latency/slow speed sometimes to all Belgian ISP's except maybe some small ones, what could you use this for. Those are the 3 biggest Belgian ISP's, mobile as well as home...

    Edit: This is Telenet:

Are you giving out only one address from the IPV6 subnet? How do I get an entire subnet / 64?

Connection to the Belgrade is even worse.
It should be around 10 - 15ms but instead of going to the Belgrade it goes up to the northwestern europe all the way to the Frankfurt (NL-ix Fra) just to return back down with 45ms latency. It beats the purpose to have VPS in this region.

      1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms
      2 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms

      9 44 ms 44 ms 44 ms ipv4-rs.virtono.com [85.122.125.2]

    It looks something like that:

(I checked from my home connection, from reavisys.si Slovenian vps, from hosthatch.com Austrian vps... and result is every time the same)

  • For me it's just congestion I guess, or something along those lines.
This is from when I last had issues with them, didn't make a new traceroute now.

We are offering a /64 IPv6 subnet for all our servers, you'll get a /64 even on the 2.5 EUR VPS.

I don’t have a ticket, this is everything hosted at M247 in Brussels, including NextDNS (Misaka) and basically every VPN. I could send you a smokeping and whenever the latency on there goes up maybe you can try to ping Brussels from your AMS location.

We are making our own tests, but it would be very helpful some traceroutes from different providers or home users to help us identify all problems and choose the best routes for all scenarios.

    It looks something like that:

(I checked from my home connection, from reavisys.si Slovenian vps, from hosthatch.com Austrian vps... and result is every time the same)

It shouldn't be like this.. Can. you please email us or PM me with a traceroute (including the source and destination IP addresses) so I can forward to our NOC?

Of course. Will do it right now.

Thank you for your help. We have contacted our NOC from Belgrade so they check.
