Amazon Drive is ending on December 31, 2023
I received this email hours ago...
Dear Amazon Drive Customer,
Over the last 11 years, Amazon Drive has served as a secure cloud storage service for Amazon customers to back up their files. On December 31, 2023, we will no longer support Amazon Drive to more fully focus our efforts on photos and video storage with Amazon Photos. We will continue to provide customers the ability to safely back up, share, and organize photos and videos with Amazon Photos.
What this means for you:
You are receiving this email because you have files stored on Amazon Drive that are not supported by Amazon Photos. On December 31, 2023, you will no longer have access to Amazon Drive. Until then, you can continue to use Amazon Drive to manage your files.
If you rely on Amazon Drive for your file storage, you will need to go to the Amazon Drive website and download your files by December 31, 2023. As an Amazon customer your photo and video files have been automatically saved to Amazon Photos. Step-by-step instructions for downloading your files, managing your paid subscription, and resources for additional help can be found on our FAQ page.
As part of this process, on January 31, 2023, Amazon will no longer support uploading files on the Amazon Drive website. You will still be able to view and download files until December 31, 2023.
You can continue to use Amazon Photos for backing up and storing photo and video files. The Amazon Photos app can be downloaded on iOS, Android, and Desktop. Prime members get free, unlimited full-resolution photo storage and 5 GB video storage. If you are not a Prime member, you get 5 GB of free storage for photos and video.
Thank you for being an Amazon customer.

Just got the email as well
4 months to upload and 17 months to download is a very generous time span.
Unlike some providers who give till end of current month.
for first two seconds i thought the post was about Amazon S3
Amazon what ?
Thanks, I thought I'm the only one who never knew about it's existence.
Was it some kind of S3 for freeloaders? Or actually usable like a Google Drive?
I don't remember it installed on any device as well, and I come across lots of them.
It was basically google drive and was unlimited for a good bit of time. As always people were dumping PB's upon PB's of porn on it.
A few years back Amazon capped the amount of storage.
Francisco
@Francisco a bit of topic but I have to ask: do you always type your name at the end of the post or have it on a hotkey to paste?
Always type it
Francisco
Is it because more than one person uses this account?
We recently informed you that hubiC will be officially closed on 31/07/2022.
Due to a large amount of files still present on the hubiC platform and in order to give you more time to recover them, we have decided to extend the hubiC services until September 30th, 2022.
You have an extra month ^.-
This is done in order to keep certain level of class among very old persons in hosting industry. I have observed few other examples, they all typed names by hand.
One person, multiple personalities.
Is it because more than one person uses this account?
Nope. I used to not use 'Francisco' for my usernames, so I'd add it to the footer.
In most places I now use 'Francisco' when it's available but I never kicked the habit. At this point it'd be weird for me not to sign off on a post.
Francisco
But it is redundant. Your nickname already "Frankcisco", additional signsture is justa waste of bits and traffic. Could you please exclude signature in your answer?
No.
Francisco
His name always will be typed
I just found some old site backups from 2011 and downloaded them for safe keeping
Are you derailing a thread?
I'm sensing a warning ⚠️
Then they really need till the end of 2023 to download it back...
lol, netomx a mod!
The end is truly nigh :P
P.S. Warning for derailing a thread? On LET? Okay, tomorrow is the end.
hubiC never was great, as speed was slow.
What's great about Amazon drive is that they don't delete your data even after you stop the subscription. I stopped my subscription when they capped the storage and the 8TB of backups that I uploaded are still there.
Your math is no good. August and September are two months extra.
Again, ha.
Hi friend! I missed you!
Warnings for everyone!
It's pretty wanky IMO, I just assume it's so he can remember how to spell his name or something.
or just plain old autism

Young Whippersnappers: Signing your name is so lame.
Me: Bring back 3-line .sig blocks, properly delimited with a "-- \n"
5-10 years ago started a trend: the internet was full with 'free cloud" and they was close to the 'unlimited storage' services. If someone reached they limits just created a new account or signed up to another free "limited" cloud drive provider, or paid a small extra fee for a very larger storage capacity (etc). Lot of people stopped using their own solutions (NAS, office servers, etc) and noow - after this cloud services become a part of our life - this platforms started to charging big money for the previously free or really cheap services or just simply closing it (Samsung Cloud Drive, Google Apps Legacy(Drive), etc..).
well, i guess this set of amazon drive developer's keys that i've held onto for all this time is worthless
