  • 2 more of my VMs already ryzen-ed :
1 into node NYCB030 : up and running, better performance than old node
1 into node AMSD026 : it is almost 2 days but I still can't boot it up

hope @VirMach aware about issue in AMSD026 node.

And I believe this is not the end, because one of my VM now in "locked" a.k.a "ryzen-ed" status.
And I still have 2 more VMs in old nodes.

@VirMach , when is your ETA about this migration process ? I just want to know when I could start using your service again with worry free...

Next BlackFriday should be all operational

Are you sure that's not too soon ? :#

If the what netomx said above does not resolve your issue today. This may be something that VirMach needs to fix. It seems to me that they do the rounds every so often to fix these "no bootable device" errors. This has happened to me a couple of times. I normally just try to reinstall once a day or so and one day the reinstall will work and the problem does not reoccur. Last time this happened it took 5 or 6 days to resolve. I do not ticket but it has always resolved.

EDIT: I will add, try to do a "Power Off": in SolusVM, not shutdown, then "Boot", then reinstall.

Did this start after a migration with data?
Or did it just suddenly do it one day out of the blue?

If you have files there, just try the "Power off" and "boot", if that does not work just wait, but do not try to reinstall daily. VirMach will still get around to fixing it, but like I said above it may not happen for a few days.

Hello there, I just found about your issues.

The error caused by grep returning ambiguous result as I'm utilizing country name instead of country code, to give you an idea you can try searching United States in this list, it'll return 3 match, exactly what occurred to you.

It should be fixed now, sorry for bad experience.

Although my VM does not boot, the node has been moved from Buffalo to Tokyo. TYOC035. It is a KVM-Special-4 from black friday 2019 . I'm gonna wait till it boots up till I comment on the overseas move.

Yeah, mine was a KVM-Special-4 from the same BF sale. It's also definitely in Japan...

It will soon be like three weeks since I can't use VDS (RYZE.PHX-Z002.VMS). At first, VDS was offline for a long time. Then VDS was launched, thanks. But the IP address is already being used by someone on the network. OS writes about it. I send tickets that there are problems with the network and zero response. Moreover, the ticket cannot be supplemented, it can only be closed and opened on a new one. Ticket #424283.

Tried power off and boot, and still "no bootable device" on VNC. I think I just have to wait for @VirMach to fix it.

It belongs to NYCB030. first, the server is locked, and after almost 24 hours it back to normal for several hours (with new IP), and now it is online but no bootable device.

The good news, my other non-accessible server is back to normal now. Hope this one will be back soon. Other servers are backed up, this one is too huge and not so important so I can wait.

I've been with virmach since 2018 BF if I remember it right, with almost no problem at all. So, yeah, things will be back to normal like its glory days, if not better. Thanks again @FrankZ for being helpful throughout this thread.

I got migrated to NYCB030 as well and they screwed up my HD, same "no bootable device error". Should have spent a few extra dollars on a more reliable provider as it's a time suck to restore my files.

Node NYCB030 was dead at least for a few hours yesterday, and not mentioned in their service status page. Ticket #463710 opened yesterday prior to node coming online, but no response, and now I can't add details about the HDD issue.

Hello there, I just found about your issues.

The error caused by grep returning ambiguous result as I'm utilizing country name instead of country code, to give you an idea you can try searching United States in this list, it'll return 3 match, exactly what occurred to you.

It should be fixed now, sorry for bad experience.

    Now getting nothing.

     sudo curl -Ls benchy.pw | bash -s -- --skip-disk --skip-gb --speedtest

@imthatguyhere @jperkins Hi, what is " KVM-Special-4", how is the cores, ram, disk volume?

It was a Black Friday special from 2019. I'm sure it isnt offered now. 4g ram, 40GB disk, not sure on cores. 2 or 4. worked for me till it didnt.

Well all good things come to an end. Got me another provider tonight.

5x more expensive at $10 a month, but unlimited data storage, with a catch. Lobster Unlimited Expanding Storage Plan. Servarica. Got quick responses to my questions and deployment time in hours.

My virmach vm bill renews in November. No need to decide right now about renewal. Guess Im gratefull this didnt happen in December.

Didnt see virmach check in here tonight with an update, or update the server status on his website, but he did have time to check in here:

for those of you guys still waiting

take care for now guys. Got another fish to fry

"busy" means the iperf servers you're contacting are busy. Try curl -Ls benchy.pw | bash -s -- --skip-disk --skip-gb --speedtest to use Ookla speedtest.

    This one also failed.

Huh that's weird, I don't have any problem with mine. To diagnose the problem, you can try manually perform speedtest to the server.

    curl -Ls benchy.pw | sh -s -- --keep-file --parse-only --speedtest
    cd $HOME/.benchy_file/speedtest/
    ./speedtest -o speedtest.dal.hivelocity.net

Will perform a speedtest to hivelocity server located in Dallas, if still not working-- probably there's a problem on virmach network.

On my home system this yield.

    $ ~/.benchy_file/speedtest $ ./speedtest -o speedtest.dal.hivelocity.net

       Speedtest by Ookla
