There's really no alternative in Australia at the moment.
500GB for such price means it will be regular HDD, in which case you will hit the
disk bottleneck faster than network latency compared to having this in EU/US.
So it's a weird request in it's logic, and a very low budget for AU/NZ.
Im happy with binarylane i used 1tb for data recovery but only less than 15 days so i only spent 7usd.
