Rocky Linux 9 released

Rocky Linux 9 finally released today.

So here are currently 1:1 compatible(I know of) RHEL distros.

    Just tried out Rocky Linux 9 now, ships with the 5.14 kernel right out of the box which is nice to see,

    5.14.0-70.13.1.el9_0.x86_64

    Apart from that, root user SSH is disabled by default now like on Ubuntu/Debian etc

    AlmaLinux 9 is already available as preinstalled template since they released it in May. ;)

    It's about Rocky here and not Alma. I know it's just a couple commands to switch.

    Yeah it’s pretty annoying. They never bothered with v8 as far as I can see.

    It’s always good practice to pull the official images directly.
