  • @VirMach My server in LAXA030 can't work after migrated to ryzen node, I already tried to reinstall but still offline. And I want to extend my server for 2 years. I open a ticket #850286, but billing department and technical department don't answer from I opened the ticket. It has been 72 hours. Please help me, thank you.

Could anyone tell me where to get the login information for VNC.
I connected with VNC IP:PORT and Passport, but I cannot login to my VPS.
I tried user root and password for root, as well as SolusVM user and password. All returned "login incorrect" message.
    see the snapshot: https://ibb.co/7KdLL8X
    Thanks.

Alternatively you can resize VNC view to see and click "show" near the VNC pass and use proper VNC password... It's not that hard :) Use TightVNC Viewer or something.

Thank you for your reply. I mean the user and password to login the vps (root and root password won't work) not the password to connect with VNC. I can connect to the vps with VNC, but cannot login to the VPS.
You can see error "login incorrect".

If that didn't work, try setting a new password from rescue mode or recovery mode or something like that via VNC.

@DanSummer said: Not sure what the issue was, could be me (had a few zeros and Os in the password).

If you click VNC from Solus (rather than WHMCS/billing) there is this awesome button

solusvm username and password has already been invalid for years.
My vps was setup years ago and has been upgraded by VirMach two times.
The initial user and password for solusvm are not valid anymore.

@Sunkins said: I tried to access my VPS with VNC, but only see "login incorrect". There is nowhere to get the VNC login credentials.

I had this particular issue on my LAXA031 VM too where I'll get login incorrect.
I regenerated the password a few times and I was finally able to login to the server with VNC.

Not sure what the issue was, could be me (had a few zeros and Os in the password).

Thank you for reply. Could you tell me where and how to regenerate password for login? I donot mean the password for VNC. I mean the user and password for the VPS.
    Thanks.

In SOlusvm cpanel, under "Root/admin password," select Change. Then copy the new password. Once in vnc, login as root then use the magic button "Paste" to send the new password there, then enter :)

Also make sure you are not cutting and pasting an extra space at the end. It happens to me more often then you would think when cutting and pasting password from SolusVM.

    Update on FFME004 ?

Its up for me for past 2 days. Try unmounting ISO and see if u get anything on VNC as you might have network fucked up.

really ? are you sure it's ffme004 ? I can't even access the service from clientarea

Actually the panel doesnt open for me now either. But my VPS is up and running and im certain its FME004 (or is there other FM04? similary named), its transfered from AMS.

  • Hey @VirMach

I submitted a ticket days ago. No reply. I also have been watching the service outage page every single day. Not once has my node DALZ009 been listed, So that also means you should not charge me for the ticket.

Anyway, I can VNC into the machine, but the networking is not connecting to the outside internet.

I already did "Fix Networking" twice. I had no special settings, previously, so I should not need to do any editing of files to change EN01 to EN whatever.

My service is running, but it is not contactable unless I use your web-based HTML5 VNC client or my own, which doesn't use the same IP as the server.

What am I missing? What else should I be doing? How much longer will this be going on? What info do you need from me?

    Thanks

P.S. I did my best to read through the thread, but I am sorry - no one can respectfully expect someone to go through 50 pages of info for something they are not the cause of.

You might double check that your EN01 network interface is still EN01 in your network settings and not eth0.

    Thanked by 1therealduckie
  • Generally, if you can VNC into the system and it works, it's half the battle.

The first thing to check is whether you had the previous IP hardcoded.

If when you are in VNC, you do 'ip addr show' - if it doesn't match what's on the control panel, that's something you can fix, with /etc/network/interfaces or Netplan or similar.

If it DOES match, then you'll be waiting a while for the ticket system.

Any way to get the "Ryzen Migrate" button again for a vm that has not yet been migrated?

My vm on NY10GKVM63 has not yet been migrated? Admittedly I don't recall if I already selected an "Ryzen Migrate" option and that's not it hasnt been migrated yet.

Did that multiple times. So yeah, guess I have to wait for the ticket. Sad. Been ~week of downtime.

There's actually now a free 'Ryzen Fix IP" option under "Change IP" next to the non-working IP.
(Disclaimer, I haven't tried this - my broken IP VM lost control-panel)

Username should be in the email you received when the VPS was set up. You can reset your password, but sometimes Cloudflare will ban you.

@VirMach if laxa024 really online, please bring my VPS up action=productdetails&id=256420

LAXA024 isn't actually down, it's just bugged on the panel. I keep not having time to look over it but I do temporary fix in bursts which isn't the solution, sorry for it taking so long.

LAXA014 actually requires maintenance. I think it's the power supply slowly dying or loose cable somewhere. Of course it could also be the motherboard as it's exhibiting some weird behaviors related to memory errors (not actual memory errors, just the same behavior.) We already did a RAM swap on it and it was stable afterward, I'll probably do another RAM swap since it's easy and check for loose cables and swap out the PSU. Was supposed to send a maintenance email earlier today, at this point unless it goes down again I'm going to wait until I have a more specific time available to assign for it so it's not just some vague and unhelpful email.

I don't mind if you move my vm to another node. With or without data, I really don't care as long it working.

My VM was forcibly migrated from node:NY10GKVM28 to node:NYCB52,The service I purchased is 10Gbps Ethernet interface,NYCB52 is only 1Gbps,I lost my 10Gbps interface bandwidth,And the CPU performance is very low,I just can't believe 4-core ryzen running yabs Geekbench 5 Benchmark Multi-core performance score is only 664,Ryzen multi-core performance is lower than E5 single-core,What's going on?There is a problem with the node or Is performance limited because I'm a blackfriday special plan?please fix asap.

    Here is the yabs score
