  • Is laxa018 down? It's not on network status page, but I haven't been able to access it for several days.
It's not responding to ping from various locations. WHMCS reports Operation Timed Out After 90001 Milliseconds With 0 Bytes Received and SolusVM says An error occurred processing your request. The host is currently unavailable. Please try again later. Cannot be access by VNC either.

No, but it's because we used SolusVM to send them and I assume they send one copy per match so maybe you have multiple services or the process bugged out.

Checking on this and why we weren't alerted of the outage by monitoring system. It hasn't been several days though so it's possible it was running into other issues beforehand.

Based on the errors though and how it's acting (pinging/online but nothing's running), I suspect a DIMM failed. Once I'm sure I'll post an official update and ETA on network status page.

TYOC025 Can customers with virtual machines turn on the migration button?026,027,028,029,,,,

Not stable enough and also not enough space. We're proceeding with RAM replacement first, and then most likely if that works we'll just send an advisory reminder to back up important files if disk issue re-appears but I'm fairly certain the potential RAM issue caused the disk issue as SMART looked healthy.

I found that the download speed of TYOC025 is limited to 40Mbps, is this going to remain the case for a long time in the future? Or is it temporary?

I received an email yesterday about migrating to Ryzen.
I did the migration and it kept showing "Offline" ever since.
I have tried various "Ryzen compatible" reinstallation systems, but none of them can start normally (it's not that it's stuck in grub2,Machine shows "offline").
I also tried to mount the CD-ROM to boot, still "Offline".
    Location is LAXA019

  • yes, the LAXA019 packets lost rate 17.62% to gateway , 16.07% to 8.8.8.8 . my support ticket #276609 has no response 15 hours . very good "support" , very good "100% SLA"

I was finally able to get everything temporarily functional on TYOC025.

The root problem is still not resolved.

Basically the disk holding the swap malfunctioned in some way due to memory errors and swap and virtual servers couldn't initialize as a result. Memory test didn't find any errors for the relatively brief period it ran (we'll need to later run this for several hours to a day to really find anything.) As memory errors and crashes were happening and the way swap was unloaded automatically to get it to boot, at some point the volume groups had the wrong UUIDs/metadata. Around 60 virtual servers got wiped but I dug through the backups and found the right metadata finally and restored it properly.

I'm still investigating to see what's causing the crashes. No logs whatsoever. It crashes during memory test as well but remains online longer if virtual machines don't start up, so current educated guess is RAM replacement.

Since we fixed the data issue which is most important we're comfortable moving forward with RAM swap now. We have RAM available on-site and I just ordered more to be delivered in the next 12 hours as well. Just waiting for maintenance time to be scheduled with datacenter and network status page will be updated with ETA.

@VirMach The data is lost. I tried to reinstall the new system, but the IO and network are very bad. Would you consider replacing other components such as disks? I am considering whether to configure the environment further.

FFME001 (or just my VM, to be more specific before more people shows up ;)) was just restarted - I hope it's on purpose :-)

    EDIT: 6 minutes later:
and another restart, this time "VNC Host" went offline too. That was a restart for sure then!
another 'I hope it's on purpose' mention.

Ha, so I dodged the bullet by not ordering that 3D Printer. I was pretty close to buy it, but was struggling because knowing my luck I will end with some non-working-semi-broken thing and I will need to order some parts that previous owner stole and it will cost tripple the buying cost. Plus shipping to Europe would take months :D

I got the 99 dollar liquidation one. They sent me an email saying that postage is more to ship to me so if I pay an extra like 20 dollars they can ship it or else cancel my order (they sent proof of shipping being above the threshold they had). So I paid the difference and now have it.

It's not bad. Not the most versed in 3D printing yet but it's a nifty toy.

You really know how to upset people.
Two vms both working well on Host= AMSKVM6
Both received new additional IP addresses and then unable to connect from internet on original main IPs.
Control panel VNC shows cant ping 8.8.8.8 on either VM
Reconfigure Network button does not fix problem.
Had to manually edit /etc/network/interfaces to get working (which was challenging).
    Also received an email

    Important - Service Suspended
This is a notification that your service has now been suspended.
The details of this suspension are below:
    Product/Service: 768MB Migration Special
    Domain: xxxxx
    Amount: xxxx
    Due Date: 08/19/2022
    Suspension Reason: Overdue on Payment

While I appreciate the suspended machine has not actually been suspended it was still offline due to the above problem. This is NOT overdue !!!
This is a migration special which you have generated an invoice 1 month in advance even though the Ryzen migrate button always fails.

Come on virmach this is not good enough.

So... Can one opt to remain on old servers instead of dealing with migration?

Honestly for me its not worth the hassle or even 1 minute downtime

AMSKVM3 not responding for me for 36 hours. Solus shows ip addresses but nothing on ubuntu 18. I'm losing millions of dollars in my personal vpn on this server

It's been flawless for years until now. I'll wait it out a bit before bothering them with a ticket
