These would be more awesome if they were on a 10 Gbps connection

    No use.
ruTorrent is configured to download at 12MB/s and upload at 30MB/s, and you can't change this config.
    Port speed only affects HTTP/SFTP.

    Not true.

The service lineup of Value250, Super250 this is true, but not for this service.
Those 2 services were specifically sold as 250Mbps services.
These are very old services now, we stopped featuring them something like 3 years ago, but they are still available for order and sometimes to keep servers full we might do a special on some of them.

Sorry no at this moment. Mainly due to we expect any such thing to be wildly abused.

largest 4TB back in stock too now, some new capacity got added.

Couple more nodes waiting for CPUs for this series, but then no more. Chip shortage or something of the sort, the server model is unobtainium right now with no ETA, might not be back in stock and straight to AM5 model.

Therefore it is starting to look unlikely that we will add more ZEN MiniDedis (apart from the super rare cancellation) to the M1000 SSD series.

So get yours now while you still can :)

Have you considered HDD and Ryzen?

M10G most servers are Ryzen now.

I don't think it makes sense for you to go AM5 this early. Better to let someone else upgrade and you buy out their AM4 stuff at a bargain.

What's the point of having 4TB SSD when the bottleneck is the 1gbit shared link, or even when it's unshared on a well managed, not much oversold node - still you are hitting network limit and not disk performance anywhere near, even on crappy WD/Seagate drives made for PCs.
It's not like anyone is going to make a "workstation" out of it, it's purely for seedboxes, usenet and files without critically important backup. If you really put SSD there - it's a waste of resources, same as if you would put NVMes. But well, it's not my party, do whatever you want.

Might be, we will likely pursue both to upgrade our more aged hardware over the next year. Energy crisis and all of that.

If you think that, this service is not for you.

For plenty of others however, this is the perfect fit. There are other activities than sequential filetransfer as well people do, and which benefit from SSDs. Simple things like loading ruTorrent/qBittorrent GUI, unarchiving, transcoding etc.

These also have VEGA iGPU which is enabled (if not, ask support to enable it), tho ffmpeg does not have good support yet to utilize it as of yet.

These nodes often also have NVMe boot drives ....

That same argument has been made by people for idk, something like 6years or so we've offered the SSD option, yet demand for it just increases over time.

docker rootless + wireguard now on all seedboxes:

    *ARR + Jellyfin installer updated:
    https://pulsedmedia.com/clients/announcements.php?id=590

Makes these SSD seedboxes with their added CPU + I/O perf reaaaally good option for fun stuff. People have been running all kinds of stuff via docker, like proxmox backup servers, desktop etc.

No. you can run proxmox and any guests, but we will not be offering windows directly on baremetal.
