Which bare metal dedicated server providers have good ip reputation?
According to your hands on experience.
Whole sale internet?
Ionos 1&1?
BlueHost?
Interserver?
Hostwinds?
Namecheap?
Servermania?
Godaddy?
InmotionHosting?
Are US providers generally better than European and Asian providers? No geographic discrimination here. Just tech talk and user experience sharing.
Is it possible to have a frontend vps at LightSail hosting httpd and phpbb, and another backend dedi at Europe hosting mysql database? Will the performance deteriorate due to the different data center locations? Any cache measure to ameliate the side effects?
Thanks in advance.

Why would you care for IP reputation for a forum?
The biggest cyber crimes are made in USA and from US so basicly their IP are no good about rep.
Colocrossing IPs are definitely ones to avoid, their IPs are usually in blacklists.
Site in US and DB in EU is definitely not something that I would do.
You need low latency between site and db, and US<=>EU is anything but low latency.
What I have seen lately that they are now very strict about their IP reputation, try ordering one with them, you will get blocked ports for mail etc.
Maybe now. They trashed their IP's in the past
Their IP reputation is still among the worst. I have Racknerd AMS (ColoCrossing) and you can't do even one Google Search, every search/page you get captcha. Ofc whole range of IPs was on public blacklists too.
@letlover I had the best experience with netcup and PHP-Friends. Never on blacklists.
Stick to smaller providers that are not cheapest and most of them will be fine
I've never had an issue with IP blacklisting with Hivelocity. If there's spam they handle is quickly.
Stick to smaller providers that are not cheapest and most of them will be fine
PHP-Friends does not seem expensive at all: https://php-friends.de/vserver-ssd
Netcup isn't too bad either.
Or am i just too old timer?
I didnt say PHP-Friends or netcup are expensive, I said "stick to smaller providers that are not CHEAPEST".
There's plenty of even cheaper offers here at LET, but ofc they need to cut corners because of price & they attract abusers.
Btw OP asked about baremetal, so instead of vServer you should look here https://php-friends.de/dedicated
vds and vps are fine, as long as they have good ip rp
We have quite a few legitimate emailing clients.
We suspend and block clients if they get on spamhaus list.
Don't expect /22 as well, we had a few people emailing us asking for a huge range saying, we're legitimate marketing company. Check the website and it has spelling errors all over the place.
https://idrivecompute.com if you have enough money.
Their IPs' reputation are generally very good.
Good deal first year. As expensive as AWS EC2.

Are the listed one good for dedi and vps?
idrive
oracle
ec2
Alibaba
fasthost
scaleway
ibm
redstation
heficed
A lot of big names here.
Oracle is very difficult to sign up, but their IP reputation is okay.
Is idrive as good as AWS by reputation? I have never heard of it. DO VULT LINODE these I see a lot around.
Wdym I am using oracle and it's fine.
And yes best IP rep is oracle, their IP's are considered business aka almost residential, work with netflix, hulu, google etc
How much are Oracle's cheapest offers on bare metal, VDS, and VPS?
I read that Oracle cloud has some security holes and had to shut down for a while? Is this true?
0$
Idk didn't have any issues, only that some admin accidentaly reset my IPv4 once
Just keep in mind, sometimes you get unlucky and you get a DCH IP that doesn't work with netflix. Just swap it
e.g. Los Angeles 72.26.100.1
But I can't sign up my account, so I have to go with other providers.
This thread is talking about IP reputation when it comes to blacklists, being blocked and email delivery etc.
They are not talking about use cases for netflix/vpn etc.
Email also seems fine, I checked blacklist
They don't like people signing up from certain countries due to abuse. A lot of hosts do that
