Looking for better offers

Hi all, this is my first post on LET. First of all, thanks to everyone that keeps LET lively :)

So, to get into the topic:
My renewal for my current plan is coming soon, before paying I would like to know if there are better offers out there. It's important to highlight that I absolutely prefer annual payout instead of monthly.

My current plan was an offer posted here:

  • kvm virtualization
  • 1x vcore
  • 2x gb of ram
    -1x gb of swap
  • 30GB HDD
  • 1x IPv4 / 1x IPv6
  • 2TB monthly traffic
  • UK locations
  • 20$/yr

I would like to ask to all the experts here if you know better offers. Regarding location, I don't mind if it is located on US or EU.

My budget is 20-25usd , I know that I am poor :pensive:

Thanks to everyone that join my research

You already doing $1.6 per month for 2GB KVM with IPv4.
Not to offend you but I think you should ask for free offer.

Edit: Oh, wait. I just saw that your $20 figure was a yearly budget. LOL

Asking for free is not for me. Unfortunately 25usd is all I can get out of my low income.
For "better" offer I don't mean it must upgrade every aspect of my current plan. I didn't list any specific hardware I am looking for.
For example a 10GB ssd are a upgrade for me, I don't mind losing 40gb of hdd.
Same logic for 1gbit, 2tb of bandwidth and so on

Welcome to the forum. I would suggest looking at the offers section and maybe get in contact with the providers offering yearly plans. The price will depends of course on the specs and what is included. For example, some providers offer cpanel or DirectAdmin included in the price...etc...

I was suggesting Servercheap, which has been great for a provider for me in their price range. But it would still be twice what you want to spend.

Stuff close to the numbers you want to hit definitely does come up here on LET/LEB if you watch and wait, especially around the holidays. But it's going to be tough to find any real quality at that price, regardless.

$20 per year is a good deal for kvm and in the UK, you may not find much lower than that. While it might have a few, not sure if you want to jump ship if current host is reliable, what could be worse is you losing your money on a provider that runs away during the year
Advice: Probably stick to your current provider if your provider survived the year.

Thanks for your time, my current provider is amazing no complains at all :)
After 2 years of usage I noticed how my usage needs cpu,ram instead of gbit network and storage.

My post aims to find similar priced offers and valutate the best feature combination for my usage

  • In the end, I think that I will renewal my current provider. Thanks to anyone that joined my unsuccessful research :)

Everyone loves to hate on RN but @dustinc is often giving some good deals. I think their non-discounted rate is slightly over your budget, but if you can wait until the next sale, they'll have a decent deal. I have a $12 p/y 1GB 1vCPU and $18 p/y 2GB 2vCPU from last BF. Both are good for the price and I've had no issues.

Hang around here and keep an eye out. @CloudV have just had some deals that would be approximately in your price range (mine was £4->£2 per month on a deal), but the current offerings cost more now, and lots of the smaller providers pop up sporadically. But the really good things sell out quite fast.

My favourite was @mxmla's deals. I got the middle priced one as a try out and now wish I'd gone for a much bigger offering before he sold out. The smallest was just about at the edge of your range though, and it's an example that if you keep your eyes out you probably can get something good in your range.

If you don't need dedicated ipv4, then maybe server-factory?

I think in UK for KVM VPS $20 per year is very generous offer.

I feel like more of us could benefit from this offer since Prometeus went out of LET market and Arubacloud prices aren't so attractive anymore as they were when they launched VPS service.
Can you post here direct url to this offer, please?

Ah, I see "Severe warning for seven days for responding to requests without a Host Rep tag" on your profile - what a nonsense.

    Hi Samael
it is a custom offer. If you or someone here wish to order it, I can provide this offer. Please write me on DMs or on email [email protected]

By default it’s 1 IPv6 address (so a /128), you can just open a ticket and get up to a /48 only for you.

Check on racknerdtracker.com, the details aren't completely accurate, so you'll have to visit each offer and check, but 2GB should be doable from 18 dollars. Also, GreenCloudVPS just posted a new budget line, which starts from 15 dollars for 2GB.

I'm aware that you seem to have opted for the GreenCloudVPS offer, just posting this for others who might be searching.

    • price is slightly higher for me because of VAT (I am from the EU) and paypal surcharge, but nothing drastic - still damn good offer for 2GB memory VPS from the Italy
    • cpu not the fastest, but not something I am bothered about
    • port speed doesn't seems declared 100 Mbps but 1Gbps - I am not complaining about :)
    • their local (not outsourced) support work also at Sunday late night, quite unusual for the EU company
    • requested /48 assigned pretty quicly

All in all I have good feeling about this one and hope for the long term keeper here.
