You should probably clarify how much power is included?
Some questions people might have.
~Josh
Most of this info can be found on the website or in our Knowledgebase. I wanted to keep the offer post short and simple. Lets face it most LET people members care most about the best offer!
Yes, we include a /64 with all colo orders if requested.
We plan to run this special until the 8/15/22. It maybe extended.
Yes
Yes, we do not block any ports
1AMP of 208V is about 2AMPs of your standard 120V outlet. Which will cover most of all modern single CPU servers and some dual CPU servers depending on the process TDP.
Extra power is 30/month for every 0.5AMP 208V
We define it as unlimited data, meaning we do not count how much data you transfer per month.
Oplink.net Bandwidth Policy:
"Colocation and Dedicated Servers come with a 1 Gbps port with unlimited normal usage bandwidth. If we observe sustained high traffic, we reserve the right to require an upgrade to a 1Gbps Dedicated Port for +$99/month. "
Basically if you intend to hammer 1Gbps 247, we ask you upgrade to a dedicated port.
Unlimited Data works for 95% of our clients without putting data caps colo/ded plans.
Thanks,
Ryan
Great deal, might have to get one and repurpose something from someone again lol
Damn that's pretty good. I'll have to send you one of the servers gathering dust in my closet.
Please turn it on and use some canned air to blow the dust out before you ship.. Thx
~Ryan
It has no CPUs and needs things changed first anyway so no worries lol, I'll dust it.
Good deals!
LOL there are perks to being in the same DC
Anybody else in TRG besides Oplink and Data Ideas?
I don't of any other server hosting companies other than Data Ideas.
Prior we were in Level3/Lumen for years. It's been a huge improvement being at TRG. They know how to get things done. We moved into TRG about 9 months ago now.
Here are a few rack pics:

The pro for us during the move was to clean up some cables and redo our racks. We used a system called patchbox. Which makes running cables for colo clients easy/clean. Since you never know what size gear your going to sell with colo, having flexible cat6 cables on the retractable spool is awesome. For some of our ded server racks we stuck with normal cables since those racks don't change much.
~Ryan
Nice rack! (snigger)
you missed a good meme opportunity
Would I need to ship my own rails?
We provide rails & cat6 cables. We have a custom universal mount that fits any 1u or 2u server. After doing this for many years we got sick of all the junky rails that servers came with.
After you place an order we will email you shipping directions and IPs.
~Ryan
What product is this? I've become really frustrated of 'universal' rails because they always, without fail, block the U above.. I've got a few devices I can't find rails for, so 'universal' it is, blocking the U above..
As for your offer, interesting that multiple U multiple the 1U price but the same amount of power for each..
1U - 1amp $34
2U - 1amp $68 ($34x2)
3-5U - 1 amp $170 ($34x5)
Great deal @oplink
The 1u / unmetered deal is nice.

However ours are fixed depth and custom ordered in bulk for our racks. But they are basically the same thing. We did this all custom because we moved datacenters from Level3 to TRG about 8 months ago. Having 1 rackmount that works on anything was key to saving a ton of time moving servers from DC > DC.
I honestly cant stand all the stupid mounts companies make, 95% of them are all junk.
I agree with you, especially full depth devices held with just ears.. Some are decent though.. That being said, I still believe that these will block the U above for most devices..
Most devices that I/we have issues with, have inner/outer side rails, designed to hold them and are are too high to sit on shelves, without blocking the U above.. Oh well..
Yes, the key to avoid that is to keep the front screws a little loose > slide server in > screw in the rail. Sometimes you don't have to do that, depends on the server. We also leave a gap every 5U most of the time. We tend to use that gap for people who bring small non rack mounted firewalls and it helps avoid the issues your describing. TRG helped out a lot with this design when made the big move last year.
Here is a good example, if you see SLOT 12. Plus you can see our static version of those rails better in this pic: https://oplink.net/images/datacenter/colo-rack2.jpg
Its basically rack tetris sometimes w/ colo. Its much easier with ded servers cause everything is usually the same for a full rack.
~Ryan
Those rails are nice and even the custom ones that the dc provide.
The only thing that scares me on those is once getting past 1U. Some of those 2u chassis are quite heavy once loaded with spinning rust.
But as @oplink mentioned they are handy when moving devices quickly in/out.
My personal choice is the manufacture rails and they never have given me any issues.
For those that do need universal rails. I like these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0060RUVBA
They can be tight for the top RU but as Ryan mentioned on leaving it loose helps a lot!
