Ryzen Migrate now excludes Ryzen nodes. Too many people using it over and over once already on Ryzen, and it's causing more support requests to be made. We'll still try to open up this as an option in the future in scheduled time periods.
Call on me before your next big sale, it will cost less.
But but but but I temporarily migrated my service from Tokyo to Denver and now the Ryzen button is not working... what to do, what to do? I know, a ticket!
A ticket that will be there longer than 72h and will get me some money?
Woah, perpetuum mobile, ez money, ez life.
But yeah, this seems like a right decision for now
Why do they keep doing this, to harass support or for some specific reason?
You should limit use Ryzen Migrate,it should not be disabled.
eg 2 /month of limit
i pay 3$ for Migration To Tokyo. but it don't work.it is some day ago.
Invoice #1440677
Ticket #992253(Subject: Migration Request)
can you help me?
thank you!
I mean I guess in any case where something is offered, there will be people that use it to their advantage. So I guess their thought process is wanting to get it done as soon as possible, it didn't work, close, get a refund, try again.
Not part of the code, no tracker for that. By the time we code something out like that it'll just be for some type of free courtesy migration maybe where you get to migrate once per term without it rolling over.
So if you have a service that's monthly, next month you can migrate once, and in 6 months you can migrate once (the cap.)
The reasoning behind that being that you could have just cancelled and re-ordered anyway. It's already an idea in our list of a thousand ideas.
(edit) Oh and of course we already kind of started doing that with courtesy IP changes, so it would mean it would count as a courtesy IP change as well, so if you use one you can't use the other for that term.
I think you can try to make the migration code more valuable.
After the Ryzen Migration is over, improve the data migration function and promote more migration-supporting offer.
Make automated migration a value-added service.
For a week Trying to move a migration special without data from NL ColoCrossing TO Ryzen NL and I always get the error to try tomorrow.
No tickets created
Yes, they will create more packets, but these are unicast packets and have nothing to do with increased broadcast traffic.
But why?
The last thing I want right now is to migrate from NL ColoCrossing to the new location as this thing just work.
NL ColoCrossing is boring, but boring means stable without issues. So far my AMS025 Ryzen box had around 3 days of downtime + 1 day of slow connection/ping timeouts while CC NL was up and running whole time.
As long as they don't migrate me by themself I am not moving anywhere.
Agreed, the CC instances are incredibly stable all things considered. Still enjoying the Ryzens but they feel very much like a test product still. Also happy to have become one of (very few according to @VirMach) people to pay for priority support
Got a response same day which I consider a huge win. Hope the support load clears up soon!
I had to write my response several times to avoid it from turning into a ball of words.
I guess what it boils down to is Ryzen has the illusion of not being as stable right now, given multiple events that happened in such a perfect succession but as long as we fix all these time drains, they should be more representative of what we envisioned for it. And while the old nodes may be stable as a result of being emptied out and locked off with settings that are at their zenith, they definitely have nowhere to go but down and I wouldn't be surprised if they start dropping like flies should we keep them for the coming years.
I think you're the first (and last?) person to pay for priority support this year.
I will wear that badge with honor
I am wondering if I should pay a fee to remove a reserved IP. Having two Phoenix IPs does not hurt me, but I think it is good for VirMach to release a reserved IP that are not being used. However, I do not want to open a new ticket...
I don't think we've ever actually charged that for removing IP addresses. It's just a catch all for all addon removals but that'd be pretty funny if you paid to get a free temporary IP removed.
Don't worry, we'll remove them by the time we need them.
I applied to move to Tokyo, Japan, but you haven't done it for a long time, so I applied for a $3 refund, but you refused, I want to know why? Ticket ID #935959 and Ticket ID #912342
If it was done in error by us initially, let us know in the title. Too many people think they can just keep making requests and retrying over and over and refund tickets for them over and over, we can't keep processing hundreds of these.
If you closed migration request yourself past not wanting to do migration anymore the first time, you're not eligible for a refund. We can restore your migration request but not right now, after all migrations are done and ticket queue is clean then we can go through those requests. But again if we closed your request then it's fine to make a ticket, but we already handled most of those if not all so it's very rare that your case falls into that.
I only offered that to people like a week ago, not for new requests made in the last few days and closed and refund request.
Okay, I've locked off current migrations from being able to close tickets. So if you currently have a closed one I guess make a ticket asking for a refund, anyone else closing after this or future requests from now on unless we're the ones who closed it, don't make a ticket after closing it asking for a refund.
Close all your current tickets, you, as in just you, @Blast and make one requesting the refunds and I'll process it.
Yes, it is currently closed
As you said, I closed all tickets and offered a refund, Ticket #356070
Can you handle my ticket# 298249
about JP -- because the option of paid migration is blank, I can't see any VPS location, but do you allow me to manually complete the migration after paying the invoice (bill \1439344)? Looking forward to your reply
If it's blank, don't submit it unless you want it to get stuck for at least some time.
I'm sorry I didn't understand your meaning. Is there a conflict between this and my hope to manually migrate my VPS to JP through you after I pay the bill?
@VirMach When will the Tokyo storage server be activated?
server now it work thankyou sir am happy
Forget about it! I've been making this request for days, Virmach have spent a lot of time merging and closing my ticket, adding me to the list of problem customers and replying to me in LET, but just don't have that little tiny time to just help me migrate, my migration request has been stuck for week now and still no clue, it's so confusing!
