ShardHost (1GB Annual KVM $30, 512MB Annual KVM SSD $30, 512MB Annual KVM $20 + More)

Shardhost is a UK LTD company (reg 07679837) that has been providing hosting services since June 2011. We currently serve over 3500 clients. We own all of our VPS hardware.

All services are currently being offered out of our racks in Dallas, Texas (TierPoint DC with Colorossing) and Colocrossing Buffalo.

We've had a lot of interest in our Annual plans previously and are constantly asked to restock them so thought we'd apply this to as much of our services as possible.

Some reviews of our service:

  • 64MB plans next time please :-)

  • I bought 1 GB KVM Annual $30/year last july 2013. Can I upgrade to 1 GB KVM Annual (Larger disk/Gbps port/3 vCPU) $35/year?

Please open a ticket regarding this and we'll see what we can do. There is no direct upgrade path but we may be able to offer a solution

64MB KVM would be a very tight plan! What kind of price would you be looking for?

Ideally something around the $5-$10 a year range.

We have a 256mb Annual for $10 a year that we can throw into this mix if there is demand?

I know 64mb is in the low end spirit; however on a KVM that is a very small amount of RAM to be playing with.

    If KVM , 500GB/m, please do :-)

I think you meant to say "$10 a year", right?
Can you post all specs of this plan, please?

    You mean $10 a year?

I take the point about 64MB not being much in KVM, but I've got a couple of 32MB OVZ's that are happily doing their thing so I figured there might be something doing. Maybe a 128MB might be more sensible though.

    Indeed $10/year. Specs would be:

    256MB RAM
    256MB Swap
    1 vCPU Core
    5GB Diskspace
    256GB Bandwidth
    KVM/SolusVM
    1 IPv4 Address

    Is there interest?

    port 1Gbps, location Dallas?

    throw me the link pls.

  • Location Dallas, port 100Mbps

  • @ShardHost said:

I'd certainly consider it, even if it's a lot more RAM than I really need. The price point is right for a low-end yearly IMO tho.

That's fine. Let me have a taste of it.

  • @ShardHost said: Is there interest?

    YES, in Dallas, please.

BTW, also interested in your 512MB & 1024MB KVM plans, but 6-month plans, please. In fact, I would prefer to take the 512MB - instead of a 256MB - if it were available @ $10/6 months :)

  • Damn you VAT! Still worth the pennies, cheers for firing up the offer @ShardHost. I'm 98% OVZ these days, so a bit of KVM to shake things up is welcome.

Unfortunately same VAT issue here. Well, not a problem anyway, got used to it while living in such a county :-)

We'd like to move out into Europe at some point. Sadly the kind of IP pricing we are looking at in most places makes this difficult.

  • can it install windows with own license?

  • @ShardHostSarah is your i.p still blacklisted, or cleaned up?

  • @MorningIris said:

Although we have some IPs that are blacklisted we have subnets available that do not appear on any blacklist. We always act fast on spam and seek removal of IPs from lists.

We can do this; however turnaround time for ISO addition is up to 48 hours during promo times. Please note we will not provide any assistance with Windows.

  • is VAT for non-eu too?

    NO

    I can understand this,
in addition, can I provide the specific iso file to upload (such as some edition with specific language)?
and, since you can't provide any assistance with windows, so, can I load the virtio drivers by myself during the install process in the solusvm panel (if you use solusvm), I know the solusvm panel have this function, but I don't know if you've enabled it? thank you.

We can upload windows versions as long as a wget friendly ISO is provided.

VirtIO driver via solusvm is no problem.
