I can’t do anything about that. Virtualizor just keeps on dying. Spamming several 10 GB logs and just fucks up something else if I fix that.

VMs are on and as noted by the offer it’s experimental

Symlink the log file to /dev/null.

If that fails, mount a FUSE filesystem over where the log file is being generated.
The FUSE program can simulate a 4PB partition, but it simply discards everything written.
A grad student who took operating system class can write this in two days.

    Remember this?

…Abusers will be terminated without notice...

It’s more likely it was terminated due to abuse. Virtualizor would just show it as offline then, and won’t start

There’s a big backlog of tickets but if the above is true then without notice holds true

If it broke on it’s on then that’s true for sure. I know some who tried installing something they shouldn’t have on a 256 or 512mb ram system and it just hung using 100% CPU for days and got terminated, or some who spammed SSH brute force

What a stupid thing to do.
Not informing customers that and why they have been blocked will surely create even more tickets and frustration among customers.

I think this is by far the worst abuse management I have ever heard of.

I have 2 (neither from this offer) set to cancel at the end of the billing period, however even if I didn't put the request in, they both can't be renewed.

Right now, I can log into the first billing system, but not the VPS control panel for the first service. My summer host PTSD kicked in on the realization that I couldn't do a simple OS reload. :(

For the second service, I can log into the VPS control panel, but not billing. The last time I was in billing though, it said some shit about moving to KVM, so they wouldn't be able to renew it anyway. :D

I also want to note they know why it's unusable. I think, they think, they know. This is the email I got:

    DFDB LLC System Message:

Hello on the 4th of May we'll be moving everyones virtual machine into smaller boxes. This will fix the bad performance your VPS has, including the slow SSH. We will take a full backup of everyones virtual machine but it's still important that you also take a backup if possible. It's expected that your VM will have 24-72 hours of downtime while we do this migration. IP renumbering might also be required. Please join our Discord https://discord.gg/tMmu3gCPPg if possible to keep updated with how it's going. We understand that not everyone has discord so we've also created a telegram group https://t.me/+G36pk8eD16hkNDg8

Not sure how long we have to wait to see what happens, but I'm excited. :#

If anything goes wrong with Boomer - there are 2 reasons -
    1. abuser
    2. Virtualizor bug

No need to even look at the tickets, what's there to solve 🤷 :#

  • @dahartigan said:

    What a joke!

Competence can be developed via practice and continuous learning, but @ezeth's attitude to customers is beyond repair:
    1. It is always the customers or the software bugs that are to blame when anything goes wrong, while @ezeth is always correct. Some notorious people of that kind are Comrade Kim in North Korea, President Putin in USSR, and Chairman Mao in CCP.

    1. Apart from its unstable services, what worries me most is @ezeth's nationality: CCP. I hate to say so, because it seems I'm discriminating, but I have to remind people if privacy and/or intellectual property matter to you, then avoid boomed.host.

I'm not attacking Chinese people, and some Chinese I know are good-natured. Just look at @ezeth's wolf-warrior speech. Should I kowtow when utilising the service?

    1. Rebranding boomed.host won't help as long as the wolf-warrior exists.
