Soyoustart dedicated server to create IPV6 VPS
Hi all, I have installed Proxmox in Soyoustart dedicated server and then created IPV6 VPS and after that I am unable to connect to the network.
I tried to change the gateway of the IPV6 VPS to the IPv6 address of the dedicated server and then add the route manually. It solved the problem temporarily.
But once the IPV6 vps is restarted, it can no longer connect to the network.
I use this command:
ip -f inet6 neigh add proxy 2001:41d0:xxx:xxxx::xxxx dev vmbr0
However, when the IPV6 server is restarted, inet6 neigh will show failure and cannot be deleted or added.

where 7f and 80 are the ipv6 addresses I added
Anyone have a good idea?

Did you create a network that is bridging physical eth interface? If so, then....
Looks like the same issue I had on one of mine SYS servers...
Gateway in OVH network is always the last address in subnet, but for unknown reason it does not work on some servers, on some others it work.
My working setup was during initial setup I set up the IPv6 address (or subnet) and gateway. On 2 out of 3 servers it worked.
Joining this thread, maybe will find a solution for it, too.
If you are using Proxmox, try to create LXC container.
Try with this method
https://wiki.x8e.net/doku.php?id=proxmox_ipv6_ndppd
Everything good with LXC?
Thank you, it's been tested and it works!
But I have a question, can all VPS use the same /80 subnet gateway?
Or is each VPS assigned a separate /80 subnet as well as a separate gateway?
thanks!
I am sorry but @Neoon should be the right person to answer...
@Neoon Hi Boss
Have any good suggestions?
you can try this:
wget -N https://raw.githubusercontents.com/Misaka-blog/Misaka-WARP-Script/master/misakawarp.sh && bash misakawarp.sh
it can install an ipv4 adress for your ipv6 vps.
run this command in your ipv6 vps:
wget -N https://raw.githubusercontents.com/Misaka-blog/Misaka-WARP-Script/master/misakawarp.sh && bash misakawarp.sh
