Steal is like 20% rn in 39 tho. The server is still on fire but usable juuust enough to not raise any complains. As long the terminal is not lagging it's all good.
@VirMach Seeing as the ball is already rolling and you've had an easier time of it today (ha!)..
This Migration button thing; can you verify what happens for multi-IP VMs? Are they lost during migration or are the same number attached to the migrated VM?
This has 20-30% free CPU (after including all system CPU usage as well) but high interrupts and I have an idea of why. Give me a little bit of time and I'll see what I can do.
EDIT: Never mind. I was too slow.
I would also like to know.
Wanted to click that
Ryzen Migratebutton to do something, test something, break something aka migrate some services and after deciding what I will sacrifice to RNG VirMach Gods it turns out only West Coast / Central USA is ready for instant provisioning and I don't want those +100 extra ping from Europe.East Coast / Europe when!? /s
EDIT: also shouldn't
PHOENIXbe marked as instant migration too? Status page saysAVAILABLEfor that location.More nodes need to be added.
Can I move to Tokyo at will? The servers in the US are cheaper than in Tokyo, I want to move them all over
I don't think there is any need to buy a Tokyo storage server, just buy a US West, transfer it, it's 5 dollars a year, and I will refund the storage service.
The Ryzens will be sweet but not at the expense of additional IPs, for me. (Though I've only got 2 VMs with additional IP.)
All the migration plans and code do not consider multiple IP addresses. This means initially you will not get all your IP addresses, but after it's complete, you can request it be added back if you require it.
Can I request to add back multiple IP addresses even if I choose to have without data?
How to migrate now without the option of Japan?
Pick anything but Japan.
Can't I choose Japan anymore?Waited for a long time, but missed it:(
is migration request ready, or wait for email? just tried and it failed to submit.
Can you add the option for Japan? I would choose without data and then will wait patiently for it to migrate.
Am I the only one concerned about renewal price and bandwidth of Ryzen migrated VPS?
They won't be as cheap and as much as before anyhow, right?
I'm adding a $10 setup fee for Tokyo. This shouldn't affect anyone, and it's not retroactive nor is it permanent, but since we're going to be running simultaneous sales versus non-sales this is the best way to do it right now. Once next batch arrives it'll most likely be lifted.
I clicked migrate Tokyo yesterday, but the panel has no new IP, now I don't want to migrate Tokyo, what if I migrate to another place? The migrate button disappeared
The only thing I'd be worried about is inflation and the energy crisis. We have never raised prices on people and do not plan on doing it. People also thought it's not possible going from OpenVZ to KVM but we just eat the costs. It's not all about money for us, we actually care about our customers.
With that said, if there's insane hyper-inflation or let's say Germany gets cut off from Russian energy and everything goes haywire then we could probably only eat the recurring costs for so long. Of course even then if it's only region-based we'd try to exhaust all other options like allowing migrating to a nearby location that isn't affected, etc. Even with that, I doubt we'd raise prices. I'm just saying it so it doesn't come back to haunt me if it actually happens. But I mean at that point this very rare theoretical event would also probably either mean everything else is going to collapse and/or everyone's wages is going to go up to keep up with inflation so it would technically be similar net impact. I hope we're super clear on that, I'm not using this as a pre-emptive excuse to raise prices and we still have a huge buffer before we have to do anything like that. Let's say all colocation cost goes up 2x in a few years and inflation hits double digits for multiple years in a row type scenario. Then again in that weird scenario everyone's prices would have to go up.
If anything goes wrong it will default to you being migrated to the same or similar location once your node is mass migrated.
If you're stuck in a situation where the VM terminated but nothing created, and you need a working VM immediately, then priority ticket.
Is it the latter option that requires $10 to be paid to migrate to Japan?Or who migrate machines in Japan all have to pay $10?
I chose to migrate from LA to SJ, but encountered a error msg said "We failed to submit the request. Please contact support"
What shall I do now? Open a ticket?
Amsterdam is getting delivered Friday-ish and then has to be set up.
No ticket please. I'm editing out the "contact us" again, that was an error adding it back due to an update pushed to it.
OK, so I will wait for further notices.
Hello, boss, can you handle my service order#350357, it has been a few days.
