I'm going to regret this as we get flooded with order and invoice and other IDs again but if anyone wants to be deployed on a semi-functional node, let me know. Only agreement is that if you get deployed you won't create any tickets about it and understand you'll most likely be the last to be deployed if you're on a server that doesn't work and this is beta testing at this point.

All updates and communication will have to be through this thread if you decide to provide your ID and get activated early.

You'll go on a Mushkin Gen4 NVMe that may or may not "go away" as I have been describing. And your order date will not be adjusted, as in you'll likely lose some time. So let me know...

    @VirMach

Link me your unedited comment before the deadline and I'll have a second look.

Is the second one below that too?

Okay, I'm leaving for a while. You guys can start posting about me being asleep now if you wish but I'm just working on something else and won't be monitoring the thread like last time.

    Hope you feel better soon

People, mostly MJJs will spam their IDs without reading the details here. (I’m pretty sure they already did)
You might as well cancel and refund those who ask for early deployment and later open tickets for help when something isn’t working properly.
    Late deployment won’t deter them.

  • Ubuntu 20.04 Server X86 64 Custom Desktop Gen2 V1 Can't boot.
    Ubuntu 20 X86 64 Legacy Gen2 V1 Kernel Panic during installation.
    Debian 11 X86 64 Legacy Gen2 V1 Have buggy dpkg.

    Don't use these right now.

Alma seems to be alright so far, you might need manually boot it in the panel whenever it goes off.

Hope we can have some unmodified official iso, templates are very inconsistent.

I suppose we must wait for things to be figured out.

Keep in mind all of you need to install the initial OS.

What OS is available in that node? Ubuntu 20.04 os available?

All of them are available [not ISO, template only] but not all of them are functional. As in some are broken on Ryzen.

By some you mean the templates right?
Will iso be working by the time storage VPS get deployed supposedly next week.
I’d like to install OS myself.

After installing the ALMA8 template to get CPU pass through activated.
In SolusVM panel you can use netboot.xyz ISO to successfully install:

    Alpine
    Debian 10
    Debian 11
    Ubuntu 18

The following installs failed for me using netboot.xyz ISO:

ubuntu 20.04 - successfully installed but fails to boot
ubuntu 21.04 failed - shutdown during install
    CentOS7 - failed - shutdown during install
    CentOS8 - failed - shutdown during install
    Rocky8 - failed - shutdown during install

Please post your install successes and failures in this thread so the rest of us know whats up.

The pre-orders have not been deployed quite yet due to some unexpected issues. There is currently a beta test going on to see if these issues have been resolved. The beta test is closed for new deployments.

Alright no one's following the rules, I've stopped activations, no more past this line, I have to go focus on something else.

Next time ask people to paraphrase the rules to be sure they read and understand them. Of course in their own words and no copy&paste allowed.
Strictly execute the rules and punish those who break their promises.
