Procrastinate? Review of Servarica Black Fri. STILL GOING!
For those that got Covid or procrastinated during Black Friday (like me), I was so thankful for @servarica_hani & his team that are STILL RUNNING THEIR BLACK FRIDAY DEALS!
This week I picked up the Polar Bear Storage and setup/transfer has been flawless so far. Compliments to Hani & team for being on the ball since 2010. (my 3rd backup is still at Nexusbytes which is rock-solid). I'll review Servarica again in 3 months.
Of course, I searched for reviews before signing up:

Servarica is amazing in terms of customer support. You can literally chat with them on the site and address issues instantly.

I doubt it sells well then
I've had a Killer Whale since September and I've had zero problems. Insane network speed, I almost max out my home connection. I had a question and they answered immediately, so I too am happy with the service.
where is the review
It's my 1st week review anyway. Migration in and setup has been great. They're fast so far. Stay tuned for a comprehensive 3 month review.
i see
Seems like a paid post
Does Servarica really need to do that? Lol 😆
And if they are paying people or giving away services for reviews.... Uh.... Yo @servarica_hani hit me up bro lmao 😂 jk
Not paid. I realized I needed more backup storage too late for Black Friday. I hit up my pimp Jay at Nexus who I love ❤ but he's got no storage deals at the moment.
I was feeling down & then was ecstatic when my buddy told me that @servarica_hani still had some Black Friday Deals.
Definitely not paid , we didnt do that when we had 1 server 10 years ago so for sure will not do it now
It is extremely rare for someone to write positive review without getting something in return and this is simply one of those cases
Hopefully that means we are doing something good
I dont know who is @Offshore_Solutions even the user in our billing system
Thanks @Offshore_Solutions for the recommendation as I said what you did is something very rare
will try to keep pushing more amazing deals so everyone feel obligated to recommend us
We have added so far approx 3PB of storage , not all of it was for Black Friday , but since the other project got delayed I decided to keep the Black Friday offer open till then
Servarica provide good service and cheap cost, been using it their 2tb plan for almost a week, pretty impressive so far
where is the yabs?
Thanks for your kind words Sir, but all credit to my talented System Admin @ramesh_vish from Ontario who recommended you. He's understandably pro-Canadian 🇨🇦
So you know I'm real, my email in your billing is osmtj.usa (at) gmail
Here is the yabs for the server. This will primarily be used for weekly backups from another server, so the HDD suits us fine. I was initially worried about the location - Canada vs. Germany, where the prod server is located. Seeing the near 1Gbps connection to UK & France, Germany should be pretty good as well.
I have a 1.5TB backup server from Servarica for my personal use and it has been pretty good for over 2.5 years now. There was a hardware failure on the node where I had my VPS over a year ago, I had to move my backups temporarily to another location before the VPS was rebuilt. I point this out since I was given ample time (and more) to retrieve my backup instead of being presented with a new empty server.
Yes, the connection speed of servarica is just amazing even I'm at APAC, I got almost 20MB/S down here, don't know how they achieve that, so based on this, I've upgrade again to 3tb plan.
I got the Opossum BF deal from Servarica, the 1TB HDD IPv6 only with the choice of 100Mbit/s unlimited or 3TB@1Tb/s.
I just need backup storage, not performance, so for me 1TB HDD at 100Mbit unlimited is perfect. Also, I'm not stuck in the 90's so IPv6 only is my default setting.
I ran it with 1Tb/s to get my backup repositories uploaded, and the speed was great, maxed out most of the connections in the other end. After that, I switched it to 100Mbit to just run incrementals (yes, you can switch between the different bandwidth allocations yourself in the controlpanel). I've got 10 or so VPS's pushing incrementals once every hour and it has worked flawlessly since day one.
I cant really say anything about their support since I haven't needed any, everything works.
I almost feel bad paying so little for such a great service.
Are these able to run Plex with some / little transcoding @servarica_hani
Maybe a 1080p transcode but nothing more is going to be a good experience.
That’s fair. What about 2-3 1080p transcodes?
I'm going to bet on no
That’s fair, thank yo7. No transcoding however should be fine?
Yup. And that's the way to go. I used to look for servers to transcode 4k. And in the end after reading up and a quick lesson from @OsirisBlack learned that a native 1080 p is going to be much better quality anyway
That would be hardcore. Talk about blowing your load in under 30 seconds. But I think it's actually 4TB (not 3) @ 1Gbps limit, no?
Thanks for the review
It's 1Gb/s, of course.
It says 3TB in the control panel but the offer actually said 4TB. They would probably fix it if I asked, but I don't really care since I run it at 100Mb/s unlimited anyway.
