Terrahost - €1/yr.
You mentioned terrahost but the deal seems to be of hostsolutions
This deal was in Norway, and at that time, HostSolutions was colocating with Terrahost in Norway. Later, TH acquired Norway clients of HS. So, here we are
@BarkingIron it's private
@dosai It's from an auction, I found it in a shipping container
nexusbytes $16/y vps

Uh.. Don't know why all the networks are "busy", it's my first time on Azure.
you need to add the iperf port(s) in your related NSG ...
edit: network security group, aka the azure firewall thingy.
Thanks, I'll try to figure this out when it isn't a Sunday evening. I tried to open ports 1024-65535 to install Outline and failed, went straight to deleting the VM lol.
deploy the vm and after that within the ressource group click on the thing with the shield icon that has -nsg in the name (from the ressource listing on the right)
it should take you directly to the network security group settings, where you can add ports inbound/outbound etc. ;-)
now head over to GCP or oracle and try to figure the same. after that you probably can call yourself cloud practitioner or whatever LOL.

I'm wondering what's the point of renting a dedicated server with an Atom N2800 cpu, when even with shared cores any vps would outperform it?
2TB drive
Scaleway DEV1-S Amsterdam location
2vCPU, 2GB ram, 20GB NVMe, 200Mbps unmetered network
€6.13 machine + €1.46 IPv4 = €7.59/mo
billed hourly
One of few providers that have nested virt turned on by default
Network speed is a lot better than advertised, but maybe they throttle if someone is pushing data 24/7.
CPU score is shit.
Core 2 Duo E8500 is faster than that. Freakin Core 2 Duo from 2008.
https://browser.geekbench.com/processors/intel-core-2-duo-e8500
At least IO is decent.
But man, 7.59euro for this shit?
Just get OVHcloud VPS if you need unmetered bandwidth.
DeinServerHost (2x Ryzen 9 3900X, 4 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe -> 9€ w/ 19% VAT.)
AlphaVPS Ryzen 2vCPU 1G plan
Normal price is €3.99/mo, on BF it was €18.99/year, I have it for free (giveaway).
Amazing 4k IOPS & CPU performance if you snatched €18.99/year deal.
Even in normal price its good deal (especially compared to Scaleway instance I benchmarked earlier and posted above)

No point in post yabs if you don't mention provider and price while posting init
He got it directly from cociu, he mentioned that last summer in his now deleted sales thread iirc xd
added provider information. all vserver are promo within the last 6 month. have no more details right now.
