sadly it seems this silicon shortages will not end in 2022. talk to Dustin, maybe they have some room to squeeze you in.

  • @pouyam I'm all machined out right now except a storage machine. That's all I need.

I love beer, whiskey is just for the occasional drink.

  • Any movement on getting Debian 11? No rush b/c I know it was just released a few months ago, just curious.

Just want to say thanks @dustinc and RackNerd for their efforts to solve ATLRYZEN101 node in Atlanta. They do a full system replacement and seems everything working well. It is very hard to maintain stability and this level of support and do competitive pricing.

    +1
I'm on this node as well.

I'm also on this node, and I've been quite impressed by the level of notifications we've been receiving throughout all of it. Well done RackNerd!

Probably this question has already been asked, but just in case I will ask. I did not find an explicit ban in TOS, like some other providers. How does RackNerd feel about TOR in general and bridges in particular?

In Russia, it has been banned since December 2021. In general, I do not use it, because there is a private vpn on the vps of another provider. But in such a situation I would like to render all possible assistance to the society.

Debian 11 is listed as an option when you choose Reinstall in the control panel, I can't remember if you can choose it upon initial purchase though.

Otherwise you can always upgrade Debian 10 to 11.

DEBIAN 10 UPGRADE TO DEBIAN 11
    #Update all existing packages
    sudo apt update
    sudo apt upgrade
    #Restart system
    sudo reboot
    #Backup important data
    #Update software repositories
    sudo sed -i 's/buster/bullseye/g' /etc/apt/sources.list
    sudo sed -i 's/buster/bullseye/g' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*
    #Perform minimal upgrade
    sudo apt upgrade --without-new-pkgs
    #Upgrade to Debian 11 bullseye
    sudo apt full-upgrade
    #Restart system
    sudo reboot

The price I quoted was in Mexico, where whiskey is quite high priced in general. I see that you can get it in the USA for around $200 a 700ml bottle.

But yes, I would expect you would want to drink it neat.

It looks like I am able to get 750ml of 16 Year Old Single Malt Lagavulin Whiskey for ~$120. That's a bit more reasonable, I guess.

I'm seeing the same price looking online, I'm gonna have a look next time I stop at the liquor store. If its good and decent priced I've been looking for something higher shelf to keep around for special occasions. Don't exactly want to pull out the Windsor for guests :D

That's actually a great idea. Next time I'm out, I'll have a look as well! I'm sure my guests will appreciate something a bit fancier, and perhaps also a reference to the drink of choice of both @dustinc and Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec ;)

I think that would be up to the AI, but giving how they were acting probably not that many. :)
