Backing up VPS

Hi guys,
What’s the best to backup a VM running nextcloud I o b2 backblaze? I’m new to the whole thing so looking for suggestions on how to go about it so that’s it’s easy to restore just in case things go south.

It will be nice to see if there's a guide for seamless backup and restore

That’s what I’m really looking for but haven’t found anything so far.

There is such a big opportunity for providers to add the ability to their panels allowing customers to back up files/databases to place like S3 and so on. Surprised it is not already more common than just relying on provider backups (so many do) which you cannot test or download. It's work I know but a lot of customers would be attracted to it.

@Francisco lead the charge on this.

What I have seen is guides typically focus on one part.. ie just backup and feel good. But the day things go sour, the end user is left on his own to figure out (rightfully)...

Also just keeping backups makes no sense if you have not tried any DR from your restore and see if that really works and how much pain its gonna be

    This is so true.

  • I use duplicacy's cli (free for noncommercial) for backing up files to Wasabi
