Apart from ovh or hetzner, which other provider has a long history?

It is provided for everyone (that can prove their strength), and there is no extra charge.

  • exclude hetzner from the best provider anti-ddos list. Currenty only OVH is the one gives best at the moment. check their BF-Deals which is currently active until 6th december 2021.

Depends what server it is (game, web, teamspeak etc) but overall OVH and BuyVM + path.net IP addon ($3) are solid, cheap options. If you want to host game server then most people are happy with providers that use Voxility (tons of them).

Hetzner DDoS protection is very basic.

Check ExtraVM if you want to host gameservers too. They rent very fast servers from providers with best DDoS protections (like OVH) and have a lot of rules.

  • I've used HyperFilter and DDoS-Guard a few years ago. HyperFilter mainly for game servers and DDoS-Guard for L7 (web).

I'm sure there are ways to bypass OVH and as we all know they take their time to respond.

Very interesting question - i will have a think!

    I can confirm this.
Though, there is alot you can do on the server side. Ovh bypasses are simple to do.

This is apparently one of the best DDoS "tools" I've seen - if the offer is right.

Don't underestimate it, as some providers did and have succumbed to its power.

Have a look at https://globalsecurelayer.com/ - GSL uses their anycast network to geographically load balance DDoS mitigation globally, meaning there is ample capacity to deal with more than 1 Tbit/s+ of attack traffic without causing any downtime. This 1 Tbit/s+ figure also isn't some made-up figure, GSL has at least 1 Corero device in each PoP, meaning it's 1 Tbit/s+ of real, always-on and inline DDoS mitigation.

If this sounds interesting, we'd be to take a look at what we can do for you. We have a global presence across the EU, US, Asia, and Oceania. Feel free to send me a DM or e-mail at [email protected]

Alternatively, you can also get a dedicated server on this network with their sub-brand, GoDedicated https://godedicated.com/.

  • Taking budget into account, I'll agree with the others and say OVH. NFOservers isn't bad either if you're looking for US locations.
