[Kimsufi] New range released !

ninzo59ninzo59 Member, Host Rep

Hello !

Some of you are already aware, thanks to the huge leak of the new kimsufi servers..

So we decided to release it a bit in advance :)

https://www.kimsufi.com/us/en/servers.xml
https://www.kimsufi.com/en/servers.xml

From 4,99€. Setup equals to 1M of server. (except for similar configuration with more disk, like KS-2/3..)

Don't hesitate to give your feedback on it!

Enjoy !

  • Doesn't seem worth it due to those setup fees and 100 Mbps :/

  • Thanks boss will the ks-le be restocked? @ninzo59

  • Don't hesitate to give your feedback on it!

Setup fees should be free, when we take 3 months (or more), this would be a good compromise , in my opinion.

Basically, price increased for existing KS series :disappointed:
The new lineup is from SYS's old lineup but the prices aren't better for 100 Mbps.

  • set up fee makes it unaffordable for me :(

KS-17 is a nice deal, bought one to decide between it and KS-LE

My KS-17 has good SSDs, Intel SSD DC S4500 Series rated at 900 TBW and with 1K/5K power on hours.

However there are downsides with the KS-17:

    • Motherboard is Asus P8H77-M PRO, desktop-grade board unlike Supermicro X9* in the KS-LE
    • No ECC, glossed over this omission on the listing, it is sad to see a Xeon paired with desktop board and RAM
    • Realtek NIC

*Maybe one day we can get the IPMI exposed in the control panel ;)

Definitely worth the extra to go for a SYS1/2

Agreed but for me single thread performance is important, only the Xeon D-1541 that I've seen some people get in place of D-1540 might be good enough. I will probably end up trying my luck on that when it next restocks

Goodluck boss, seems the eu servers are
    Lucky with 1541

  • Would be nice to make an option for big storage at lowest possible cost. Atom with 4GB disk for example.

Let's resurrect the SyS ARM line!

  • Interesting deals, but it feels like the price on the existing ranges just increased :disappointed: KS-GAME-1 and KS-GAME-2 look good, but I wish we could add a second SSD. @ninzo59 does the KS-GAME series have the OVH GAME DDoS protection like the SYS servers did?

  • If anyone buys these newish plans, please share the port speeds and which data center it's in.

  • The new lineup looks goods but for that price you should get atleast 250Mbps. That 100Mbps is very outdated when you can get cheap VPS even with 10Gbps

  • Kinda weird to see that old Core i5-750 are available, but newer and better i5-2300 are completely gone.

Why not? Anything low power with 4+ TB storage could be nice!

  • Hi @ninzo59 is it 100mbps all or might be different with actual scenario? Like in KS - LE?

    Let's make a campfire

  • Steep setup fees! Also 100mb nic is not powerful these days

  • Nice offers but as everyone been mentioning for the past years, I think it's time for Kimsufi to switch from 100Mbps to at least 250Mbps.
