Any provider giving $5/TB Disk (HDD) VPS?
Hi there
Just a thread for a friend, wondering if any provider is providing $5 per TB p/mo for Storage (HDD)? Or is it best to wait for BF deals. Spec-wise doesn't matter, hoping for something in the EU & usage will be for irregular backups using something like rsync possibly.

NexusBytes has a 1 TB Storage VPS for $5.20/mo (12-month price). https://nexusbytes.com/storage-vps

Thank you for the mention @codelock
We do offer 5EUR per TB on our KVM Storage line in Sofia: https://alphavps.com/storage-vps.html
We currently run a special as well - pre-pay for 12 months and get one month free (pay 12, get 13).
Check this providers.

$5/TB/month is a pretty standard price for storage, and I wouldn't pay much more than that. Services like Dropbox are around this price too, and those include storage that's replicated across several regions.
BuyVM slabs are $5/TB/month and read/write performance is very good.
You can often find <$2/TB/month during Black Friday which is almost here, so keep an eye out. Look for HostHatch and Letbox especially.
I'd recommend using something like Borgbackup instead. It's incremental and you'll have multiple backups to restore from. It only stores the differences between the backups, so it's cheap to keep months worth of them.
With rsync, you only have the latest state, so if files get corrupted and you don't notice in time, the corrupted files will be in your backup and there's no way to go back to the old version. With Borgbackup you can go back to earlier dates.
The cheapest I'm aware of at the moment is around $1.30 USD/month/TB:

That does require buying a minimum of 64-160 TB though. You can use the search linked above together with a maximum price filter on the left to find the cheapest storage within your budget.
just wait few days for Black Friday

Looking forward to it, although I don't think anything will beat HostHatch's $0.9/TB/month from last year (10TB space for $110/year)
