Webmin / MaxKVM
So I've got a vm with maxkvm for 1yr+, they recently changed the IP on the VM, I made the changes to the interface in their control panel and apache/ssh etc are working fine as before, but I think since then, webmin has been broken; connections to the webmin port time out.
I've also noticed that the connection to the box is pretty slow from here in SEA, before the change it was decent, but I can cope with that.
I've removed and re-installed, on default port and custom port, but it just times out. The webmin process is running fine as far as I can tell.
Before I contact support to ask about potential firewall issues, I'm just wondering if anyone has some ideas on how I can go about making sure it's not pebcak.
inb4 dont use webmin etc. I like it

Mainly the "How we fixed change IP address related issues in Webmin" section.
why they change ip?
They are mere resellers, what actual provider dictates them - they do.
From what I know, MaxKVM registered their own ASN (AS399686 - SEMIBAND LLC). Thus the IP's are now operated by themselves rather than renting from the DC. This required them to reassign the IP's of their clients.
Changed all IP configuration on early october and now it work as it should be.
@MaxKVM congratulations on ASN. And maybe this ticket is for you. :-)
(edited for typos)
They resolve tickets by calling customer "unqualified".
Therefore, don't bother with tickets.
Nah, I have good experience with them, no issue.. They also apologised about those issue..
Thanks, but no ref to the ip in thr config file, and step 2 is to ... log into webmin to change the ip, huh lol.
like i said though, i removed webmin and reinstalled, so refs to the previous ip should have been removed.
eidt: i also checked webmin is listening on 10000 (default)
edit 2:
and just like that, it's suddenly working... tf
anyway, thanks for your replies, case closed I guess!
I thought we talked about this, if you can't fix it by yourself, you are just stupid (Not me saying this, it's maxkvm)!
Wait, you serious?
Doesn't mean shit. Providers should thank their lucky stars they have the chance to make a dollar from the people here. They shouldn't be throwing shade and lame insults.
Your insults have been doubled,
