Voxility dedicated servers in Europe

Hello!

I’m searching for Voxility powered dedicated servers in Europe. It should not be Romania though. UK or Germany are my preferred options.

Please do not ask me why, or recommend something else, I have my reasons, yes, I’ve tested Corero, Path, Combahton, or whatever you have ready to offer, but no, I just want clear offers from providers using Voxility.

Why don't you reach out to them directly? They sell dedicated servers too, right?

I kept receiving email from them about their dedi offer :D

That's right, however, their price to performance is incredibly bad + I believe DDoS protection is charged separately even if you buy dedicated server from them...

So you want good prices for DDoS attacks that I presume only Voxility can mitigate. Good luck :)

Are you talking about the dedicated specs? E-2136 for US$123 still makes sense for me (excl. bandwidth & ddos services).

Their bandwidth & ddos service prices doesn't make sense to me, that's why I currently have colo with Path, $200/u for 10gbit, which is a pretty cheap deal.

Well I think he's sure & firm about it, so let's respect his opinion..

I'm wondering why exactly Voxility, what can they do better than others? If it's just about a specific application or strict mitigation rules, you might be also happy with deploying the right flexrules over our API ;)

  • Look up lowhosting.io.

Thanks for your recommendation. I was able to find a deal of 55€ for a Ryzen 5 3600 Voxility server in Germany (64GB RAM). I'm still searching if anyone has a better offer. Should there be none, I'll go with this one. Of course, your offers can be about 10 or 15€ higher, there's a lot more to hosting than just a price so I'll gladly consider you.

You're right. It's their very strict filtering that is nearly never letting any malicious traffic pass, and I really mean NO traffic pass. It's at the level of OVH Game filtering or even better in some cases. Their Layer7 filter is also great for static websites, while requiring no captchas, it's performing equally or better than anything I've seen that actually requires a captcha challenge.

Now, I've had the opportunity to test your services and those nearly always fall from about 70Gbit attacks to the point they even null route for a couple of minutes -- that's being tested on an alternative hosting using your services. As for fastpipe, the situation is similar - tho tested on low-end cloud VM so I can't be sure - the same attack would still cause immediate disconnect of everyone and connections again would be either impossible or possible but basically unusable. Your capacity is simply very low I think. Filtering on your part is alright (by default) but still passes a lot more than Voxility. Didn't test any of your flex rules tho. Should you improve on your capacity, having about 1Tbit+ for more reliability, I'd consider your services. And yes, I know that Voxility has some problems when mitigation is active as poor download/upload, but for me, that doesn't matter much.

Coreros are expensive and companies rarely have the resources required to use those with more than 100Gbit. Filtering is not strict enough and can usually let more than 1Gbit of malicious traffic in.

If you think you can compare voxility and ovh, there is alot you dont understand. Ovh is downed within 3 secounds if you just know how to do it.

A lot of people tell me that, but no one can actually do so. Please contact me in DM if you can show me that. I'll spin up a 100Mbit/s instance for you so you can show me live. No one yet succeeded. When it comes to a DDoS attack, there is a lot of stuff people can do to make it look like they "downed" OVH, a common one is a TCP attack to port 22. If service does not have protection on that port which can be done through IPTables, it'd overload its CPU, especially if VPS is in the matter and that's exactly how most videos on YouTube turn out to be. They even ping 22 on some YouTube videos which makes no sense. Another popular option is to down OVH VPS with other OVH servers preferably in the same Datacenter, but that'd be detected by OVH in a matter of minutes, where those servers would be suspended. OVH is really great when it comes to protection, don't listen to people saying it's bad when they clearly have no idea how to bypass its filters in reality.

  • Anyways, proceed with this discussion in DM and try not to make this thread why Voxility, why OVH is bad or why should Corero be the best. I simply want Voxility providers to recommend their products here ;)

Not longer the case nowadays, we currently have over 800Gbit of installed capacity across Frankfurt and Amsterdam as well as access to multiple Terabit of Flowspec capacity :)

HT-Hosting located in myLoc with Voxility upstream.

  • AFAIK @GameTownProjects have Voxility. You could check them https://kts24.com/dedicated but setup fee is quite huge to start with.

Yes, I've seen them. If I didn't know about HT hosting, I'd take a look at those, however, I don't see anything that kts can offer better except this gigantic setup fee.

  • Still, if anyone has something else to offer, I'm still open. I'd just like to see all Voxility providers before I make my decision :)

It's still cheaper with them if you consider long time use.

I don't like considering long-time use as it can always happen that a provider you purchase from has a lot of downtimes, bad support, broken panel, and stuff - and later, it would be nearly impossible/unprofitable to switch after paying 100+€ of setup fees. I'd prefer HT as it would anyways take months until I see benefit from kts's expensive setup fees.

  • Anyways, still looking if anyone had any new offers. Interestingly enough, so far I had the opportunity to see only a few Voxility providers. I remember in older times that Voxility was one of the most popular upstreams for DDoS protection. Today, it's still performing great and they successfully mitigated many 1Tbit+ attacks this year. How it comes that there's barely any providers using Voxility here on LET now...

    Check
https://alexhost.com they have Voxility, but if is for game servers, I should avoid.

Sometimes appears that you don't really want Voxility providers, you want something to BE Bulletproof against DDoS, if you are expecting bigger Attacks.

I recommend you go with other provider, at Large scale. Did you tried Internap? They have a good DDoS protection..

Here is more providers with Voxility
    https://flokinet.is
    https://javapipe.com (really good)

Yeah, it is for game servers. Their support chat seems to be dead even tho it says there are support agents online. Prices are huge though, sometimes 100+€ for 4GB RAM, which is 30+€ for an additional 32 or 64GB…

We could waive the setup under one of the following conditions:

    • Minimum term of 12 months
    • Payment 3 months in advance + 5 € / month
    • Monthly payment + 10 € / month

Contact our support if you have further questions or if you want to come back to one of our offers.

Which One you are talking about? I recommend you choose Javapipe they have a great know-how about DDoS Attacks, they can configure it as you need.

Price is what it is. They have a strong Anti-DDoS, you might be surprised and they use Voxility (If I'm not wrong).

For game servers. Javapipe have a Nice network.

Javapipe does not use Voxility, they just have servers in their data centers, but for protection, they use their custom RioRay.

Sounds great. I may decide to go with your services then!

  • Alright. As for kts24, I've found them using Combahton and not Voxility. Sometimes they route go through Voxility, but it's not the strict filtering or protection level I would expect from Voxility. It's not even the protection level I would expect from Combahton as it leaks a lot. I don't really know what they use, but it's not sufficient for my use-case.

They don't allow me to do any further tests on it as it's 'illegal' to test your own rented servers, so I'll unfortunately not have to go with them. Just wanted to see if there's any other offers, or else I'll proceed with my initial decision.

Thank you everyone for all your recommendations so far though!

    Flokinet.is uses Voxility in Romenia
Javapipe (you should give a try with them...i told you, but why not give a try?)
Alistaro.ro (I don't know if they still using Voxility but in past years ago they have used)

I think Javapipe is a great solution with their inhouse filtering. Give a Change..

I think you are looking for any DDoS protection that can handle any attack size. That isn't in that way. Lets be honest and realístic.

Voxility is great, but can't handle all attacks. Of course is not the only.

Javapipe uses Rioray and inhouse DDoS solution also they have their own panel... Give a try and let us know ;) I'm sure you won't be disapointed with them.

I already have servers in Flokinet. If you've seen my initial thread, I stated that I need that outside of Romania preferably in Germany or London.

I understand that there may be a better solution but I simply like Voxility. And yes, they can protect you from nearly any attack theoretically possible. I did a lot of tests, I’ve asked a lot of people to test. Attacks up to 70Gbit (and I’m not joking) were blocked almost instantly and with no interruptions to the normal flow of the traffic, while many other solutions (khm, @combahton_it) actually cause a brief disconnect of all the connections or drop the first connection afterward due to some kind of TCP authentication or on the opposite side leak a lot of traffic. I simply tested nearly all public solutions, and for my needs, Voxility seems to be the best.

You know, I'm simply tired from testing various solutions as everything except OVH or Voxility newer satisfied my needs.

Of course, some of those products advanced during that time, but I can't retest them all the time.

I'll go with HTHosting then. Seems to be the most friendly solution for both my budget and the features and hardware they offer.

As this thread is now over, I'll post a link to them should anyone need a good dedicated server with Voxility: https://ht-hosting.de/

I'll update you guys here should I experience any issues during my first month with them, but so far so good.
