Legacy IP assignments vs ALLOCATED PA
Hello,
I am struggling to understand the main differences between the status of the LEGACY resources compared to the "new" ones. I am mainly referring to RIPE, bu I think that it may apply to other RIR as well.
I have just bought a couple of IP address blocks that are being transferred from ARIN to RIPE, and the RIPE is asking me wether I want them as LEGACY resources or convert them to the ALLOCATED PA status. I am wondering which differences these two status bring, since once the LEGACY status is converted it cannot be reverted back. Is there any specific reasons for keeping LEGACY resources?
(Nope it's not for an hosting business )

Sounds familiar to a scam I once saw
I am not really sure what you are talking about though. It's not like I am selling or promoting anything at all...
It's a technical question about what benefit LEGACY resources have compared to the newly assigned ones.

Legacy resources are older than the newly assigned ones.
