Freenom/OpenTLD problems
Hi guys
Does anybody know what's currently happening at Freenom/OpenTLD?
Since Friday (10/09/2021 - D/M/Y) their whois and API is throwing out 504-Gateway timeout errors. I have ordered another domain on friday and paid for but it doesn't even show up in the account list of registered domains. A support ticket is open since 2 days - unanswered.
I know that their DNS is unreliable at times, hence I use another dns provider - but registering domains with them worked at least for the past few years.
Does anybody have an insight or more information on what's happening?
Note: I'm talking about their _paid _domains!

Ok, seems like Freenom/OpenTLD is all owned (now?) by a Brewery Inn/Pub?

Don't get me wrong: I like Pubs, but I prefer domain-providers that mind their business in time when dealing with domain registrations. I have a few domains with them with long-term commitment/payment that I want to keep.
If anybody has any insight or more information on wha'ts happening (ddos, system failure, etc.), you're more than welcome!
No idea but I would suggest you to just settle with a different registrar.
There are lots of alternatives.
It's just Joost's holding company (owner of freenom)
i see no changes at all. I wouldnt give them any money ever.
