Introducing Singapore - deploy fast, consistently performing NVMe KVM servers

hosthatchhosthatch Patron Provider, Top Host, Veteran

Hi everyone - we're now available in Singapore.

We're putting our equipment inside the Equinix SG3 datacenter. The network mix includes PCCW, Telia and TATA with peering at Equinix IX.

The following plans are available as a launch promotion. They will be available for the next 24 hours only. The order URLs will expire and it won't be possible to order these plans after this.

1 CPU core (12.5% dedicated, burstable up to 100%)
1 GB RAM
10 GB RAID-10 NVMe
500 GB bandwidth
$20 per year
Pay for two years - get doubled RAM, storage, and bandwidth
https://manage.hosthatch.com/billing/order/sgp-1g
2 CPU cores (50% dedicated, burstable up to 200%)
4 GB RAM
20 GB NVMe SSD
1 TB bandwidth
$35 per year
Pay for two years - get doubled RAM, storage, and bandwidth
https://manage.hosthatch.com/billing/order/sgp-4g
3 CPU cores (100% dedicated, burstable up to 300%)
8 GB RAM
40 GB NVMe SSD
2 TB bandwidth
$65 per year
Pay for two years - get doubled RAM, storage, and bandwidth
https://manage.hosthatch.com/billing/order/sgp-8g

As this is a new location, some of the things such as IP geolocation might not be fully updated yet and will take the next few days to update.

And as always - we promise you the best-in-class network performance, and equal or better than any other competitor in the region. We're still making some optimizations to our routes as we go along, but we're always happy to get requests for network optimization in case you see better throughput/latency from other providers in the same area (some common sense exceptions apply) :)

You can ping/trace with lg.sgp.hosthatch.com for now - fully function looking glass will be available in the coming days.

Thank you guys for being with us.

Great stuff! Congratulations on the expansion :)
My BF&CM budget is in danger :'(
Looking at the 4 GB and 8 GB plans, I think that the first plan would've made more sense if it came with 2 GB of RAM. A great deal even with 1 GB.

Yes, I'm going to refrain from giving out any ETAs though, we all know how well that usually goes :)

@heLL_bOy said: it seem under M247 SG colocation.

We use M247 as our upstream in several locations (including in some locations where we have M247 + another upstream) - just note that our network performance will likely differ from theirs. Our arrangement allows us to to disable/prepend whatever carriers we do not want to use, and prefer any carriers that may be prepended on their network to save costs and/or keep their traffic ratios.

Hence - in the OP, I mentioned we're still optimizing routes, and welcome feedback to improve it further, changes that might not directly apply to their network.

while i am always happy to see HH offers but it hurts to know they do not support nested virtualization for 100% dedicated cores. Wished they reconsider and possibly add a one time setup fee? @hosthatch

  • Why it says $29.00 USD anually @hosthatch

We're going to reconsider it, but unlikely we can allow it on plans where we have 1 dedicated core with up to 3 burstable cores, for example.

I don't see Ryzen serving our needs. Most of our customers prefer high amounts of RAM, and that is impossible with Ryzen (unless we charge 4-5x, or lower the amount of RAM by 4x). We will change to EPYC though, but no timeline on that.

  • @hosthatch How do you deal with bandwidth and CPU "overages"? Do you throttle or suspend (or additionally, in case of bandwidth, bill for it)?

  • I already have a server in SG from GreenCloud.I test both use ping tool. The result shows Hosthatch
have 350ms+ latency but GreenCloud just 170ms approximately. The Gap is soooo clear. You guys need optimize the network.

No need, their network are pretty good, less than 25 ms latency from here.. blame china for having a great firewall..

Maybe u are right. But the GFW cann't tell Which one is Greencloud ,which one is Hosthatch I guess(perhaps blame to ISP).Considering this is a new launch,It will take some time to optimize network.I will test again in the next few days.
