    Finally, activity today. Service was deleted and was given $46 credit. But I'd rather wait til the dust settles before committing anything.

    No but tax amounts are different from actual profit. There is hardware depreciation for example. which usually is split into multiple years and this is probably one of his largest deductions.

    Tax reports are indeed completely worthless and doesn't mean anything in terms of profit/loss.

    For shits and giggles I used my credit to buy a Norway service yesterday... 24 hours and counting, no sign of it - so at this stage, shits 1 : giggles 0

    the Chia situation has been widely exaggerated and it is most likely 
dead-last in terms of significant industry impact (including all other storage-based cryptocurrencies.) 

At most, it resulted in a very temporary spike in price or a slight delay in 
obtaining a specific hard drive model and capacity. 

In fact, a big part of this may have been people panic-buying hard drives 
as sensationalized news articles spread. 

It looks like as of today, prices have already returned to normal levels in most markets.

In reality it just meant some minor inconvenience in acquiring hard drives 
with a slight price impact and maybe having to consider other models.

    time to buy new disk if you have any cash left!

    The drives were purchased well below cost in the first place. It wouldn't surprise me if the amazing deal was for refurbs or returns or something.
