I've removed it. ( "db" means piece in Hungarian. ;) )

Really nice offers to see in such an exotic location as Hungary. :)

  • Why do I have to pay VAT if I am in india? For 512mb plan?

  • I echo codelock. VAT is being charged regardless of the location of the buyer. Users from outside of EU should not be charged VAT. Is there a workaround for this, OP?

You may be the first to hear such a scream, but it's definitely not the last

About VAT, I got their reply, so you can start screaming ~ their reply details are attached below

    Hello,

We contacted our accountant and got the following details:
There are cases when the VAT can be omitted:

    • physical product delivered
    • file transfer. eg. downloaded learning material
Generally when the service/product is delivered electronically/physically outside the EU (exported), the VAT can be omitted.
When the service is provided here in Hungary the Hungarian VAT applies to that.
Our VPS service is being provided in Hungary, so the Hungarian VAT applies to it.

    Thank You for your understanding.

    Kind Regards
    Balázs Osztronkovics

    Remove VAT,
So no one on earth has a chance :(

Adding VAT to purchases from non-EU countries has been absurd.

So sad, especially the Hungary VAT is high.

Thanks  Looks like they don't have native IPv6 yet though. Most of the locations on dnstools.ws have native IPv6. Maybe I could use a TunnelBroker tunnel temporarily until they have native IPv6 support.

They do have native IPv6, they just don't provide IPv6 with their promo plans.

AFAIK, they do have native IPv6 but maybe not for these offers/packages.

Huh, that's interesting, since it's normally the opposite (the provider will provide IPv6 but not IPv4, or a NAT IPv4).

This is Hungarian law. Not the choice of the ISP.

Their accountant is wrong (Hungarian law does NOT OVERRIDE EU LAW) but it is impossible to argue against the gov there. One reason why i moved my equipment from Victor Hugo/Budapest to the balkan.
