Looking for dedicated server that allow explicit contents
Hi! I am looking for a dedicated server for video hosting that allows explicit contents like what liveleak[dot]com, theync, and bestgore have. We will host various content, including gore, but no porn. For the gore, hoster must be aware that there will be videos of killing, torturing, OSHA, accidents, etc.
Specs needed:
- 250mbps minimum speed.
- unlimited traffic.
- 1TB HDD minimum.
- there will be no transcoding, so a decent CPU is fine.
- RAM should be minimum 8GB
Budget is around $100/m.
Payment methods should have either Paypal or CC.

alexhosting allows you to host everything, but I'd recommend getting a cheap server at bargain hardware, and colo with them. They still have normal renting of the server, so you may go with their hardware.
@Francisco maybe?
Is the stuff legal in the US? If it's legal I can help you, but unmetered isn't going to be within your budget.
$75/mo for 100Mbps unmetered (not including the server)
$350/mo for 1Gbps unmetered (not including the server)
If it's legal, and there's no hate speech/nazi shit, it's within the guidelines of our AUP.
Yes, such content is legal in the US, but you can expect millions of abuse mails.
There will be.
Not realistic.
Thanks. I'll take a look.
There shouldn't be any problems, but provider might receive some reports from unsatisfied internet users which hate the content.
Also, thanks. I'll consider.
I believe my budget should be as what @SpryServers_Tab said? I hold onto my currnet budget for now. I might recalculate my budget again later. Thanks!
Not to prod or anything, but hate speech is subjective, undefined, and it...like 'nazi shit' is still legal in the US, no? When I think of things that are illegal to host I think of fraud/scam sites/spamming/illegal porn like CP etc./stolen material/DMCA flagged shit, etc., people using the site as a botnet, mining crypto, explicit threats of violence, revenge porn, etc. Though I know that most providers have their own rules on this, and many are sensitive to the complaints of people who will create a coordinated campaign to spam the shit out of the providers abuse department.
@tommmy btw, your budget is entirely unrealistic.
Read again. His price does not include any server.
I read that correctly the first time. What I meant was my range should be higher than that.
Recommend me a realistic price then. Thank you.
Around 1$/Mbit - 250$.
The higher Mbit price covers the abuse handling and the actual server costs.
@tommy please check your PM I had sent you a message.

Honestly, I am quite surprised no one triggered by this. I myself consider the content as immoral and assumed many people and provider will against it. I have been asking in few places and none were against the idea.
I am not saying this in a bad way. I am just purely surprised by it.
It's just a business. If you buy some guns from a shop does that mean you're going to kill innocent people? Of course, no, you'll just have fun striking some HDDs. lol.
However, if you buy some tanks or F-35 then that might a questionable for a shop, so explicit content isn't malware, and thus not many problems with it.
Does it make sense now?
Is fun indeed, but i can tell you anything below 9mm will be reflected right back at you, and Helium drives make a nice BOOM when they loose pressure
Yup, clean and clear.
We're all about freedom of speech. However, we will terminate accounts that preach any type of hate, discrimination or advocate for violence against anyone or any group due to their ethnicity, religious views, sexual orientation, sexual identity, political affiliation, etc. This is just our policy. Legally, yes they are free do do as they like, but per our AuP, we will not allow this.
We have no problem hosting legal content we may see as immoral or content we do not agree with, but we take exception with the above.
i mean you can drive tanks around here in Texas...

If i knew how to fly it would badass to have a F-35.
BuyVM should cause you no issues.
Then you are not "all about freedom of speech" but just another hypocrite.
It's all or nothing.
I again cite my prime example: I hosted Stormfront. I am a jew. With Israeli passport.
That's your problem.
I really don't give a shit if it's seen as hypocritical. It's how I do business. If you want to enable the disrespect your culture and years of oppression, be my guest. I won't have anything to do with it.
Sidenote: I agree with you that it's all or nothing when it comes to the laws of freedom of speech. Those pieces of shit should be able to preach their filth and not be punished for it legally. However, I'm not going to give them a platform to do it.
Hate speech is free speech. You aren’t for free speech. Its your network so you can do what you want, but claiming you’re for free speech is laughable.
I'm for free speech when it comes to the law.
I'm not for 100% free speech when it comes to my network. (hate speech being the only exception)
His not wanting to host hate speech on his servers doesn't make him a hypocrite.
Even if one believes that the US government should protect the right to a broad notion of freedom of speech (which includes hate speech), it doesn't follow that one needs to tolerate hate speech in one's home or in one's business.
No, it isn't. Any notion that involves degrees and nuances is not all or nothing. For example, Germany's notion of freedom of speech is more restrictive than the US's notion of freedom of speech, but one wouldn't conclude that Germany's notion of freedom of speech is therefore equivalent to North Korea's notion of freedom of speech.
Freedom of speech isn't like a Boolean switch that is either on or off. You may wish that it were like this, but it demonstrably isn't.
Well said man
Nothing in life is ever black and white.
I wish it would be dat simple.
Germany and freedom of speech. lmao
Nice anecdote to brighten my night.
Freedom of speech in the EU in general is a joke.
Actually very nice answer, I understand why you don't want similar and there is other risks (mainly DDoS) also. I fill the niche for few users for what i deem fair compensation of my time/net/etc., like any capitalist should be able to )
