What should have happened in this instance is that the customer should have been notified. Someone didn't perform that requirement on our end and that particular issue has been corrected. Since the reporter was the site itself we still would have required an immediate change by the registrant or suspension if not since phishing sites and sites mimicking other sites via reverse proxy is not allowed if brought to our attention (especially by the site owners) but either way the registrant should have been notified.

Redirection and reverse proxy are two different things. You may find this a good read.

The domain is doing fine and don't have any kind of serverHold/clientHold status.

@boogeyman Correct, they are very different things. In this case the domain was not "simply redirected", it was reverse proxied to the site using a similarly confusing subdomain. I personally don't believe the customer was doing anything malicious, just maybe trying to get around geo or IP restrictions which isn't any of our business. However, this particular behavior is impossible to differentiate from actual phishing or malicious behavior and so we took action at the request of the targeted site's owners. All of this being said, the customer should have been notified of our action or intent to take action and we're making sure what caused that not to happen is corrected.
