he.net, cloudflare
+1 for CloudDNS.net - great service.
Mine are all self hosted with power DNS.
CloudDNS and dnsmadeeasy
Anyone see a benefit using he.net over Cloudflare for DNS only (besides the outtage a few months ago)?
he.net requires your domain to point to them (eg: ns2.he.net) before being able to add a secondary DNS domain. Linode does not require this.
I just use google for registration and DNS and use its firebase environment for static site development.
This is the main reason I host at Dynu. Cloudflare also requires the root domain name to point to them. However, with Dynu, I was able to add sub-domains and configure DNSSEC and other aspects including wildcard separately.
They are some of my domain names' registrar while for others I just setup their name servers for the domain name.
Wishosting.com is where I host ours on two vps.
I use them for all my VPSs
cloudflare
I have 3 domains for three purposes. Each hosted on different systems.
Cloudflare - Things I want behind a CDN
HE - Dyn DNS or origins for CDN
NS1 - Redundant Services with monitoring, usually served from Cloudflare domain
I use free tier on all 3 and am super happy with the results.
I use my own DNS server. No need to depend on anyone.
Anyone know of a decent low cost anycast dns service that has geodns capabilities?
I am currently self hosting gdnsd on 12 vps. An A+B in six different geographical areas.
how you did it? What tools you used? Thanks in advance.
On my server i have a Cyberpanel installation, which comes with a service that you can manage your dns, only you have to create ns servers, which are explained in a starting guide of cyberpanel.
Hope it helps!
If ya want to install cyberpanel on your vps, im happy to help you, just DM me.
CloudFlare, as they support CNAME Flattening.
Anyone know of others that support it as well?
EDIT: I can see that dnsmadeeasy supports it - any others?
I use cloudflare for DNS on approx 2k domains, using their free plan, it makes me anxious, but my account is maybe 10 years old, i think I got introduced to them via lulzsec.
he.net? They support Alias records, which AFAIK is the same.
It looks like a new addition since I last used them, thanks
Affordable + AnyCast + GeoDNS has only two real options, AFAIK: Rage4 and Zilore.
Why isn't ClouDNS in that list in your opinion?
Route53 for high paying customers and selfhosted PowerDns for all the rest. Nerver had any issues with both.
can any one please please help me to connect to wishosting vm from my rdp.
Is this a new DNS Host?
Cloudflare
I use my own DNS Servers, with custom block lists. And no user records.
That is important to me and I also share that to open world.

i use cloudflare for most of my own dns, for my customers i have dns for different servers
Cloudflare for a long time.
