VPS for Beginning with Big Data
Hi Guys!!
I'm looking for a VPS for study/development/test on hadoop stack using debian.
There is no need of disk performance (can be hdd) and no need for processor performance (but need a lot of threads) and no need for a good SLA (as some time during week, the server will be idle or off, when i'm working).
What i'm looking is something like:
2 (v)Cores,
4Gb RAM,
60 Gb of disk (better would be excellent, as i will compile, install and test a lot),
Network Speed: 100M
IPs (IPv4): 1
Location: Anywhere (ping to Brazil should be at least 0,5s or lower if possible)
Budget: 4 USD
Billing: Monthly
Thanks.

I've expect to get back to this subject in next month.
Thanks for the offer.
Cheers!
If you are doing academic research that you intend to publish, you can apply for a project on research testbeds:

You get free dedicated servers, but only for 12 hours or so at a time. Storage is persistent.
We can do the plan but node located in Europe, if you interested PM us for deal.
Hourly VPS like Hetzner, Vultr, Linode, DO, suit you better..
guess you have .edu mailbox, so ask @MaxKVM if you can have a better chance of grabbing this promo.
it's $69 with the promo code, but perhaps with the extra edu50, you'll meet your budget.
or wait for their consequent promo campaign, or get one from, maybe, @DianTama who may be willing to transfer one. Look at his review of the machine.
