I tried reinstalling via the ubuntu 18 and debian 10 template. however it seems that there is something flaky with solusvm not being able to detect the disk properly when trying to deploy that template, so I guess it does not matter which template you choose.

therefore I went for installing manually via mounted ISO but I did not try different ones. just picked the available ubuntu 18 server iso, as I want to use that os anyway and this worked at first run ;-)

on the UK and CHI node reinstall via templates worked OOB for me btw, so probably just a minor node specific issue and I did not open a ticket about it, as I usually don't ever need to reinstall. also manual install via ISO is fine for me, templates are just a convenience thing...

I don't recollect facing any issues with my 6T storage VM in London that I got last year. It worked right out of the box with the 6T drive using the default Ubuntu 18.04 LTS image that you guys had back then.

For some reason, that specific OS image is no longer available, and the back-end simply displays N/A.
Guys, this is one of those cases where it ain't broke, so don't fix it!

  • Asked to get private networking enabled on my two AMS servers. Only have these two servers in that location. Ofc they were put on different private networks so they can't communicate with each other. Not much use with that. Ticket have been pending for 13 hours now to fix this... :s :#

I'm trying to be patient :D

Thank you, Falzo, for the explanation and instruction. Hope HostHatch look into this and make it fixed. I love template as it is a dummy-like or hassle-free method. Press the btn and blink my eyes, and it's done, even post-installation scripts from the VPS provider will do the prep work for me.

Are they both 10.x.x.x ? If so try using a /8 netmask.

    EDIT:
Does anyone have IPv6 reverse working in the panel ?
I am trying with Chicago and it just gives me an error to try later.
Not worth a ticket, just curious.

Yes they are both 10.x.x.x. Already using /8 netmask. Was in contact with support and they said that they have two different private networks in AMS and that one of my servers must be migrated by them. Confirmed that they can proceed and now 14 hours have passed without hearing anything more :/

I get a bit annoyed by that when you work full-time during the weeks and want to be as productive as possible during the few hours of free-time I have on weekends :'(

But yeah. I'm patiently waiting without complaining in the tickets :)

Just got my 16G NVMe. Nothing more need to say. Till now all the storage and NVMe VPSes I've got from @hosthatch 's BF deals are pretty damn great. Especially the network speeds from all 3 different locations I've placed are much faster than my expectation.

The only thing I will regret for during this BF is, why the hell I've only got myself a 500G storage in LON, when there were still 2T available.......

    Thanked by 1hosthatch
  • @kend said: The only thing I will regret for during this BF is, why the hell I've only got myself a 500G storage in LON, when there were still 2T available.......

You can have my 1TB in London if you want, provided it is allowed by HostHatch, you are willing to pay any transfer costs, and you are prepared to pay the $30 minus the time since it was provisioned. I bought it before I snatched one of the 10TB plans, so I don't really need it.

Sorry buddy that I have to say no thanks! If it’s a 2T one I would consider. As 2T could be used as my private seafile server. But 1T just isn’t big enough to fit for. So, if only to be used as an hourly backup server, my current 500G is enough. Besides, I still have a 10T currently idling as a 3level backup, lol

maybe they just haven't got to the Vienna requests yet, my order is in the same situation, hopefully within the next 48 hrs

There are a lot of good examples even on let. Need to be polite, and respectful and stay as a human being instead of a shit.

I guess you'd know all about this, since I recall you making threads about changing DDOS protection providers, every few weeks about 3-5 yrs ago. (if my memory serves me. anyone can look up his thread history)

@hosthatch That a threat? I noticed a pattern with this dude. I refrained from posting this comment until I saw his further comments in another so-called 'review' thread.

  • Selling my 3TB Chicago Storage here.

Before anybody tells me "You can't transfer it", this is not the flash sale deal and I already asked HH CS if I can transfer it. Thank you. I hope not to unintentionally create a drama with this post.

    Pls check my ticket #657407

Why don't you update/follow up on the ticket itself and get the attention of 3-4 people (maybe more) to act on it rather than posting it here to get the attention of 1 person?

That's bad advice. In many stupid support systems, updating a ticket moves it to the back of the queue from being seen by a tech.

    You should know this, really.

    NVMe deals:
Available in: Amsterdam, Stockholm, Los Angeles, Zurich, Oslo, Vienna, Warsaw, London, Chicago, New York and Sydney (Hong Kong, Madrid and Milan can be pre-ordered, but delivery will be by December 31st).

If you decide to get at least one NVMe VM in each of our locations, you will get 30% off your order. This means ordering 15 VMs in total at least (1 per location)

    @hosthatch
You list 14 locations for NVMe... which is the 15th location? Could not find in BF or flash deals...

    Or maybe I am blind!
