i find it odd, AMS ping test for me is having lower latency than LA. but geographically I am nearer to LA.
Well, i am very new to networking and servers.
But ideally latency should be lower if you are located closer to the DC. I was told the same thing by Anthony from their support.
If you have an issue, you can raise a ticket without hesitation...i think they should be able to help you out...
As a rule of thumb, the shortest distance should have the lowest latency, all things being equal... BUT...
...real world has factors like who they peer with and who your ISP peers with, how many hops, congestion etc.
For me, from South Africa, latency to London/Amsterdam is usually up to 75ms lower than to the USA.
Please give me one too.. Missed this AMS twice.

Seems AMS location has low ping for India. Eagerly waiting for another giveaway to try this location.
Server costs in India are too high. Even Linode and DO charging $5/month+GST for baseplan.
F**k,i missed it again.
this is the hottest topic for BF
BF is finally over guys, lets be nice to dustin and not take advantage of him offering free migration to AMS just for fun(OpEx is higher in AMS). Do it if its needed. we need racknerd to be profitable so that they can continue being good to us.
P.S My signature has changed!
Damn, everyone's so fast, more free please!!!
I got great the deals before server live. Maybe i was the first subscriber on Amsterdam location

Do i eligible to be rewarded

It's very oddly to give away prizes with a European location when Europeans are sleeping

@dustinc Are we still doing double BW?
Also, HUGE props for your insanely quick tickets responses you and your team had after 1AM! I know that may not be of the norm (is it?!), but it's surely appreciated!
