Had same issue so settled with CHI

  • Ah, I see I was not doing something wrong... I entered hostname, etc, and then: bam, 404 billing/invoice/0. It's ok, was a good run :)

maybe for next layer of backups... other location for backup is always good, right?

I know it was a rhetorical question, but I'll answer it anyway: Yes!

Setting up a secondary (and tertiary) location for backups is what I consider very cheap insurance. As long as you have decent automation and notifications set up to alert you of any errors, a multi-site backup using HostHatch infrastructure is ideal -- and nearly bulletproof.

I think @hosthatch mentioned it already, but with his promotional prices and high quality service, you can buy several times the number of servers than at other, more expensive, so-called "enterprise" providers and achieve far higher reliability simply due to geographic redundancy. Setting this up does require a bit of technical knowledge, but once you've done it, you've got a killer setup. I think this can't be overstated: it means that you can achieve enterprise-level reliability on a much smaller budget.

  • @hosthatch Hello there, may I ask when will the Black Friday CHI 40$ deal finish?

    When stock is out.

  • so quiet now, haha. take your time guys, you can sleep tight while order provisioning in progress.
if someone got provisioned, kindly post YABS results here.

  • For the love of god, why doesn’t anybody read anything?

The best thing is that anyone who updates their ticket goes to the back of the queue for provisioning. I bet people who do not read stuff here also do not read the email saying "don't ask about a detailed ETA". So there's probably some degree of justice even if we don't see it.

I hope so. This was the most cringey topic I’ve ever seen on LET, which sadly tells how the community evolved in time.

Unfortunately the opposite is likely true.

I'm excited to see if my new services with HH live up to the hype.

This offer thread has been legendary and I say this as someone who has been a member here for almost a decade.

Also a massive disappointment for society... how hard is it to read now days?

Extremely hard. See all threads of the form “post here X after date to get a free Y”.

Good point of view, but decided not to buy this plan at the last moment. :-( Maybe I'm wrong, but I will completely changing my infrastructure with current hosthatch  ordered deals. And was not sure about this 2TB, especially since it was only available at US while my infrastructure in Europe. Hope to order something more in later deals next year.

Abdullah said that they have RAID 50/60 on shorage plane. Of course, it's not enough, but looks reliable enough if they control there servers and replace damaged discs in time

  • @aj_potc said: you can achieve enterprise-level reliability on a much smaller budget.

Keep in mind that "enterprise-level reliability" will imply very solid providers. If you're looking to achieve that using super cheap servers, you'd better have your different locations with different providers. And if one of these is a "big one" unlikely to fail or to collapse if something bad happens to the owner (hetzner, OVH, online, Netcup...), that's even better.

the team is certainly working really hard to provide response to every single request. however, we also did receive numerous of custom requests which we may require time to provide response accordingly, and if you aren't getting response, we kindly seek your help not to create multiple tickets for the same issue/concern/request as this may certainly delay the response which you may require. thank you.

@hosthatch said: Yes, I got that part....it will be somewhere in the range of 168 business hours (counting only business days, so 7), counting from the last "when will this order be provisioned" or "please do this ASAP!!!!" ticket bump.

    Hello,

Thank you for your order. This is just an acknowledgement response and you will receive a new email from us once your server is delivered. Your billing date will start from the day that your server is delivered.

Please note that the lead time is up to 7 business days except Hong Kong, Milan and Madrid which will be provisioned by December 31st.

Please do not reply to this message or open new tickets asking for an exact ETA. We are dealing with a very high number of customer inquiries at the moment and such tickets will only delay the process. Thanks for your patience!

This happens when you take a chill pill :)

You should be more specific. Inserting chilly pills into the wrong end/orifice may leave the user more uptight than before...

I understand right, all the offers are recurring, except the 10 tb ones?

  • Guys, I'm already a little confused about the terms of the deals.
Can you tell me if I can order more NVMe from the first page or is it too late?

    Thanked by 1Broscience
  • Does anyone have a "howto" connect hdd vps to nvme vps in one network?

  • Need it because I want to install nextcloud on vnme vps, but add hdd vps as a storage to nvme.
