Emails going to wrong server

Hi,
I have a cPanel server but my emails are hosted with Jar at MXroute.
What happens is if someone hosted on my server send me an email, instead of routing it to MXroute, it sends the email internally. Outside of my server, everything works great.

Any idea how can I change this? If I delete the email account on the cPanel server, the email is sent back as if the account didn't exist.
Tired of having to see the emails in 2 places...

Kind regards

Go to email routing section in your cpanel and see what's selected there. Is it Remote or backup or Local?
If it's local, then change it to remote.

  • Yep, it was marked as local.
Going to give it a try! Thanks!
